Had some audio issues with ffdshow's compression while recording it all back with Easycap. I'm half-considering investing in a dazzle for video capture in the future to make things less painful.

call her yet?
This is the kind of thing I think about all of the time. Will bands that are considered revolutionary and forward-thinking like Death Grips, Boards of Canada etc. be considered dadrock or obsolete 30 years from now?
they will be forgotten as contrived image-centric trash like new wave of the 80s

which is why 80s revival is currently seeing a resurgence...?
what are you referring to? if there is any such thing happening it will meet the same fate of the bands they are trying to emulate.
[editline]29th August 2013[/editline]
nevermind the fact when you say "80s" you could be referring to 50 different genres

as much as I appreciate a clever dig at my title i'm not going to point to your artists on last.fm and call you a weaboo to negate any posts you consider humorous.

If they cared about their "image" they wouldn't have leaked their album and dumped their record label.
They don't care about any sort of image, they care about expressing themselves through their art in a way that isn't usual by most artists. They find the best way of expressing the shit they go through is through dark, loud, aggressive, and schizophrenic experimental rap/industrial. The reason why so many people enjoy it is because they are actually very talented musicians and artists, and everything they do is expressive and interesting, but also there is a lot more skill going on than most artists I see these days.
I wouldn't expect some faggot with an anime avatar to understand anyways, go back to listening to J-Pop or some gay shit.
(See how it feels?)
Harsh dude
Harsher than a shwag toke I daresay

im a huge faggot so what
now that we have that sorted out, the fact you like them yet do not realize they have been marketed towards you mean they have done the ultimate sell. they got you. everything they do is a ploy, nothing they do is put out with the thought "i wonder if people will listen to this," its "how can we get our demographic to listen to this". that is how any successful artist thinks (outside of flukes or people that have managers to do that sort of thinking for them). it is pretty funny you have convinced yourself otherwise, or perhaps are completely unaware of the concept of marketing

i can and will and have done such things because I believe it is a fair character judgement, or at the very least a judgement in listening habits.

there's are hundreds of genres that were "huge" in the 80s, synthpop was just one. you're missing a variety of huge movements, from american punk to hair metal to nearly the entire birth of rap as we know it...
rather than have an actual discussion though, I would really like everyone here to pick apart my taste in music. it would make me such a happy man (or woman (or wymyn))
