Only thing I found was that ice is elastic, and sound (created by the impact of the rock) propagate very well. Listen to the ice cracking in the link below, it sounds equally awesome.
Frozen lakes are known to give off most noise during major fluctuations in temperature: the ice expands or contracts, and the resulting tension in the ice causes cracks to appear... The most striking thing about these recordings is the synthetic-sounding descending tones caused by the phenomenon of the dispersion of sound waves. The high frequencies of the popping and cracking noises are transmitted faster by the ice than the deeper frequencies, which reach the listener with a time lag as glissandi sinking to almost bottomless depths.
Depends how you want to live your life.
they're such a cute couple. Especially her "noooo~".
Did this really needed to be a 16 minute video?
Theres something so weird about filming your life and putting in on the internet.

I loved every bit of time I spent up there.

I stayed around Eagle River, this is probably the same location as the one in the video. Too bad it snowed over the ice.
and yeah that's not a black and white filter on the image, that's how it really looks in December.

Did you have to do everything, including shower, with thermals on though?

Great place to *visit
I talked to a bunch of people that lived up there when I went on vacation. Everything's expensive, it's cold and misty, and there's not really any "big cities"

I live in Minnesota, by a pond, and this stuff doesn't surprise me at all.
