Android gaming console M.O.J.O promises ‘supercharged’ performance No hardware specifications or pricing details were revealed, however the company described the console as “a supercharged smartphone with no screen that plugs into your flat screen TV.” The M.O.J.O. game console is scheduled to launch this holiday season. The company’s press release follows below.
http://news.yahoo.com/android-gaming-console-m-o-j-o-promises-043058035.html?.tsrc=metrosnw Mad Catz makes some decent stuff, but it looks like it's just cashing in on the Ouya's notoriety.
Just gonna wait for the Austin Powers image, now. :v:
No hardware specifications or pricing details were revealed
boo.
Do we really need another one of these? First the Ouya, then GamePop, and now this.
literally the only thing i remember from madcatz is their ps2 controllers and gamepads for the PC. On topic is there really any need to buy basically what is a smartphone without a screen?
Just gonna wait for the Austin Powers image, now. :v:
I bought a Mojo ten years ago. [t]http://i.imgur.com/yuRu81s.jpg[/t] It's actually pretty slow.
Awesome! maybe they can stand out in the parking lot of E3 next year with Ouya! Keep them company and all.

For $50, you can upgrade your HDTV to play youtube videos, browse the internet, play some basic games and act as a DVR.

I use it every day, it's pretty much the best media center to have short of hooking up an actual PC. That said, the Android TV Sticks are cheaper than the Ouya and probably this, and do the exact same thing.
I think OUYA proved and made it quite clear you cannot make a Android based gaming console.
Shagadelic, baby
Is supercharged the new buzzword for these kinds of things? It means nothing in the context.
Smart TVs.
I think OUYA proved and made it quite clear you cannot make a Android based gaming console.
I think the Ouya is a great little media center and gaming device. I especially like the controller. The issue comes where they advertised it and people thought of it as an actual competitor to consoles like the PlayStation and Wii.
Making another android console after the way the OUYA turned out to be? These Catz are mad.
why do these things remind me of those plug-n-play all in one games that you buy at Wal-mart
I think OUYA proved and made it quite clear you cannot make a Android based gaming console.
GameStick is doing it right, by not trying to bullshit you on it being something that can play Battlefield 3.
It's gonna fail Too obvious
I dunno why everyone jumps on the hate with third-party consoles. Yeah they're likely to be shit but we should be encouraging competition and breaking the gaming industry oligarchy held by Sony Microsoft and Nintendo.

Aren't these the guys who used to make PS2 controllers?

Android TV stick No. 187374

If this keeps up then we might have another video game crash... history tends to repeat itself.
Is anyone actually getting an Ouya? I might, their controller looks okay.
Is anyone actually getting an Ouya? I might, their controller looks okay.
the controller is flimsy
I think the Ouya is a great little media center and gaming device. I especially like the controller. The issue comes where they advertised it and people thought of it as an actual competitor to consoles like the PlayStation and Wii.
The poorly manufactured controller with horrid input lag on the console with unreliable WIFI that cooks itself in an hour with inherently flawed cooling? Okay. It can work, the OUYA does not.
mad catz sounds like the name of a mid 90s children's cartoon. i only vaguely remember seeing one of my friend's with one of their controllers for the ps2. didn't know they were still around.
