Now prosecutors said the man who has been in and out of jail could wind up spending a lot more time in jail. Vincent Hudson, 30, has been arrested more than 40 times since he turned 18. Nine of those arrests came since 2006 when he was shot inside that businessman's Murray Hill electronics store. "This guy right here is the poster child, I believe, of the crime problem here in Jacksonville," businessman Doug Freeman said. Freeman shot Hudson inside his because he said Hudson was following and threatening his daughter. "I was in fear of my life, and I was in fear of everyone else's life," Freeman said at the time. Hudson claimed he was the victim that day, but despite the violence, neither man was charged. Since the 2006 encounter, he's been put in the Duval County jail nine different times. Each time, either through a plea deal or by charges being dropped, he's gotten out. "Every time he's in the court system, nothing happens," Freeman said. "He's back out on the street committing other crimes." Freeman said he's followed Hudson's path through the legal system because he's concerned. He said he's called the state attorney's office, sent e-mails and letters, but has not gotten a response about a man he believes is extremely dangerous. "Something has to be done," he said. Some of Hudson's charges are relatively minor, like giving a false name to police, disorderly intoxication and driving with a suspended license. Others are more serious -- many are felonies, like strong armed robbery, drug possession, exposing himself, one felony he spent 36 days in jail for. Freeman said he's concerned that something devastating will happen before Hudson is locked up long term. "This guy out on the street is going to come back and bite the state," Freeman said. "It's just a matter of time. I'm surprised with his history something bad hasn't happened." Hudson is currently in jail on charges of aggravated battery and robbery dating back to June. He will be in court on Tuesday, and the state said it wants his $10,000 bond revoked. If Hudson is convicted on those two charges, he will be in jail for a mandatory 15 years and potentially 30 years, depending on the judge's sentence.
Video: http://www.news4jax.com/video/21255109/index.html Don't we have a three strikes law here in florida or something.
Send him to the Saudi Court system. He'll never commit a crime again.
Send him to the Saudi Court system. He'll never commit a crime again.
Explain what they do?
Commit 50 crimes and the 51st doesn't have jail time.
Explain what they do?
Do you know what is in Room 101?
Explain what they do?
Oh you know, lashes and stoning, shitty ass food, horrible cells, No TV (I have no fucking idea why there's TV in American Prisons), No interacting with other prisoners, etc. Sentences tend to be p long too. But still. Its waaay better than the Egyptian Prisons. Yeah, send him there.

Maybe alter it so anything and everything is punished to the extreme :D
Only in Florida.
Only in Florida.
Only on Earth
Hang that man.
Why is it that nearly every time you hear about this kind of thing the person involved is black? (I'm not trying to be racist, it's just something I've noticed.)
Um, why would you need to commit crime 44 times, and your not even 20? Throw him in the nuthouse, I say!
Just fucking kill him already, he won't be missed.
In before jokes about the guy who got arrested 44 times being black
In before jokes about the guy who got arrested 44 times being black
Specifically jokes? I commented on it before your post.
That a fucking great plan Murray, announce on public television that it's your new life long goal to have a criminal with a history of armed crime and violence, who knows not just where you work but also where you and your family live, thrown in prison for 15 to 30 years.
12 years, 44 arrests? what the hell
You can get whatever you want as long as you pay for it can't you?
Jail is supposed to teach you a lesson. So you think "I don't ever want to go back there again"
He needs a new career, he seems shit at this one. [editline]07:18PM[/editline]
Jail is supposed to teach you a lesson. So you think "I don't ever want to go back there again"
No, jail's supposed to re-habilitate you. To teach you that crime isn't the only way forward.
He needs a new career, he seems shit at this one.
yeah he isn't a good criminal at all

Nobody has said it yet. Stop right there, criminal scum!
I love my city.
Sorry to be "racist and all", but why are black people always getting arrested? (User was banned for this post ("Racism" - TH89))
