IT JUST SNAPPED OFF IN THERE
Might I quote Lando Calrissian... "That was TOO close..."
The AWACS pilot must have gotten quite a fright
IT JUST SNAPPED OFF IN THERE
every mans worst nightmare
What the hell happened? And why did it buck up towards the end? Was it just trying to bug off, or...?
IT JUST SNAPPED OFF IN THERE
It actually retracted the pump. Listen for the mechanics.
It actually retracted the pump. Listen for the mechanics.
shush you're ruining the joke
What the hell happened? And why did it buck up towards the end? Was it just trying to bug off, or...?
Some people more familiar with the type of flying said that as the two aircraft get closer together, there is a bit of a vacuum between them that pulls them towards each other. Looks like that happened and the AWACS pilot freaked out and overcorrected. [editline]20th October 2012[/editline] There were injuries on board the AWACS from the crew members in the back hitting the ceiling.

Yeah, basically just a pocket of low pressure between the planes.
That made my stomach drop, I can imagine everyone on board simultaneously shitting themselves.
Yeah, basically just a pocket of low pressure between the planes.
Combined with the auto pilot trimming to correct for it. Good thing the pilot switched it off and manually nosed the plane up in time
