Moving the 12-year-old youth-oriented channel online will save the corporation about £30m a year, with some of those savings redirected into its drama budget for BBC1. The budget for the new online-only service will be £30m, about £6m of which will be spent on short-form content. The trust announced on Thursday that it had approved the corporation’s long-running intention to scrap the BBC3 TV channel, but told bosses they must boost the amount of programming targeting young people on BBC1 and BBC2.[/quote]
good riddance
so long, family guy reruns
BBC3 was total shit nobody should shed a tear over this
ehh i liked being able to turn on the tv at 1AM and have something mildly entertaining to watch
BBC3 gave some amazing shows like Torchwood or Being Human, don't know why so many people are dissing it. Its shows were more creative than half the stuff BBC1 churns out. Not to mention the 1am Family Guy runs that gave something to watch in the background.

I think the only things I ever watched on BBC 3 was Family Guy (stopped about 5 years ago ) and Two Pints of Lager.
