I played Gmod since 2009 (I was 9 years old then, not paying attention to anything), and I always looked at the icon for weapons in the spawn menu strangely, I thought it was a black circle thing with an orange wave on top
Just today I realized it's a bomb, mfw --> :o

You're 12
Yes he is. I am completely fine with that
Wait wait hold on, why would you rate disagree? Are you saying that I'M not fine with it? Because I think I know more about myself then any of you hob knockers.
And you have two accounts?
Wrong section.
Anyway, I realized a few days, that if you know too much about this world, you simply get killed (Area 51 for example)
Going on the Internet, let alone Facepunch, as a child is possibly one of the worst decisions you will make and come to regret later in life. I joined Facepunch when I was 16 in 2006 and I thought it fucked me up, I can't imagine what it would do to a 9 year old. A 12 year old shouldn't know what that 'mfw' meme is. Get off the forums and play with some toys, kid.
On a more relevant note, I have been playing Donkey Kong Country 2: Diddy's Kong Quest for the past decade. I never realized it was a play on the word conquest until a few weeks ago.
I joined facepunch when I was 12, it only made me more mature and helped me get friends.
The issue I have with kids on forums is that they act like they're tough shit. I've seen 14 year olds post here bragging how they've seen gore and porn on 4chan and can take anything like they're a war veteran. A lot of people made friends, developed a sense of community, a sense of humor, and how to spell and use grammar correctly on this forum. Maybe I just have to get used to this modern era of kids having access to information instantly, HD TVs, high powered mobile games, and smart phones. I certainly didn't grow up with those.

Except there are plenty of children that don't act like tough shit, and that do not have HD TVs, high powered mobile games, and smart phones.
I'm not saying children should join these forums, but when they do they need to be mature enough to handle it, or else they should just play outside instead.

It's kind of true. Facepunch has desensitized me so much, infact its pretty much removed what I see as disgusting and funny. I have seen so much gross shit on the internet, and so many bad and hilarious jokes it's so hard to make me laugh\disgusted.

Heh I joined FP when I was 10 years old
When you realize how insanely insignificant you actually are in this universe.

Same here.
I made a lot of bad threads...
Well, since the thread has changed into a "what joining facepunch at 12 did for me" thread, all I regret about joining facepunch when I was 12 is when I look back at my older posts, I see a lot, a lot of spelling mistakes, ":)"'s all over the god damn place, and overall really dumb posts.
Sometimes you really want to use emoticons to show the way you're expressing a sentence, though.
Otherwise, joining Facepunch has helped me greatly improve my english over time, playing every games in english also helps, but it's not exactly the same kind of self-teaching as having conversations on a forum is.
Though I still do mistakes when it comes to typing.. It's a whole lot better.
I joined when I was 13
fuckin nerds
