Holy SHIT. This is really good stuff you got here dude. Loved the song! Good job!
Woah, this sounds really professional. Amazing. (there is a typo on the annotation on the video, it's available, not avaliable)
Wow, I'm very impressed. It's a really good song, really well produced, and I like the rhythm sounds "Escape the Fate"-ish. But overall It's really great. I'll buy it.
I liked it a lot
Awesome. It does sound really pro actually, was this done with studio time or with your own equipment or?
AWESOME! Love the singer's voice, and the whole sound reminds me of Dead Letter Circus.
Winner rate. Favourited.
Thanks for all the awesome feedback everyone! Yes I wrote the music, and produced/engineered the song/album myself with own equipment. :)
Wow. Fair play to you. Good words, good sound, well produced and a pretty cool video too! Well done!
Well done, although the Verb the Noun name is kind of generic.
I remember you guys! House of Cards was another one you released, wasn't it?
I don't usually listen to rock stuff, but this shit was fucking incredible. It gave me goosebumps for sure. Great work, tell your band FP loves you :v:
Why yes! House Of Cards was the first radio single released off our new album back in September, basically introducing the our new vocalist and new sound.
Really awesome production values, the singing is great too. Very professional sound. I would have said maybe a few less of those drop sub sounds, but that might be because I had my sub a bit loud. The one thing I would criticise is the main chord sequence. We've all heard it so many times. Super cliché. Rather unimaginative to be honest. Apart from that, great song.
Very well done, not a fan of the genre but I thought the song was pretty impressive.
sounds like something i would hear on the radio and then promptly switch stations
sounds like something i would hear on the radio and then promptly switch stations
There's no need to be a dick about it if you dislike it, just tell him that you disliked it.
Sounds good if this is the kind of music you want to produce, opinionally I think it sounds awfully commercial and it's nothing different from all the other bands out there.
I bloody liked it I did. Top show.
Decent enough song. Not really my thing, and it's relatively generic, but there's nothing wrong with that. Very professionaly recorded, very tight, and I love the vocals. I just really don't like the production. I can't put my finger on it, but to me it just sounds very flat and somewhat muddy. But I don't know anything about production. I just really did not like listening to that and it had nothing to do with the music itself. Great job overall though. I'm impressed.
i told him exactly what i thought, cant handle it dont say anything
You could atleast try to be costructive. What specifically didn't you like? How could he improve it?
Running commentary time (aka "I type my thoughts into this reply box as I listen to the song") I love the intro, especially when the full instrumentation drops in - that transition was great. The pre-verse riff is okay. A bit metalcore, but I think that's what you're going for, so it's all good. The vocals are really good. Like, wow. Amazing. I like the very subtle use of effects on the vocals - very tastefully done. Like, wow, though, these vocals are awesome. I love these. Both the soft, croons and the more powerful (though still clean obviously) vocals are awesome. Your vocalist has amazing control over his voice - tell him that from me personally. I am envious of his control. This is simply amazing. The kick sound is kind of weird - it sounds kind of... I don't know... cardboard-y maybe? For some reason it makes me think of raindrops and I don't know why. :v: This is really great, though. I love the chorus. The lyrics as a whole are kind of... well, metalcore, but as far as they go, they are written very well. I can't really make any type of argument against them other than "I dun like them," so I suppose they're just fine haha. The little "slow down quiet down" at 3:07 is very tasteful. I enjoy that little break from the normality of the song. It's a beat of a breather, which I think is great in this type of music. Like I've said, your vocalist has absolutely amazing control, and an amazing voice, and it really shows off in the chorus. All in all, the riffs and song composition as a whole are nothing special, but I don't think you were trying to be "innovative," "progressive," or a "game shifter," with this. Which is to say, I don't think you were trying to be special, which is absolutely fine and perfectly valid. The riffs and songwriting are more than adequate for the type of music you're going for - superb, in fact - and everything does its job exquisitely well. While this isn't music I would listen to every day on a normal basis, if this were to come onto the radio, by no means would I be fighting the crowd of people to get my way to the radio and change the station. You guys did superbly well, on all accounts, and you guys should feel incredibly accomplished in what you have done. Very well done.
