But what would a big year of sci-fi, fantasy and action be without Arnold Schwarzenegger? The man most well-known as the Terminator returns to his career-defining role in the untitled Terminator 5 as the killer machine from the future, and directing him may be Alan Taylor. Alan Taylor is currently in the final stretch of post-production on Thor: The Dark World for Marvel Studios, his first major feature film in a decade after years of work on critically acclaimed TV series, most notably Game of Thrones. Terminator 5 releases June 26, 2015.
http://screenrant.com/terminator-5-director-alan-taylor/ Nevermind the title, he has been confirmed to direct
I'm gonna assume there's no way Sarah Connor is going to be in Terminator 5
I guess the rebels got lazy rebuilding him, because Arnie's really fucking showing his age, unlike how his character is supposed to look
ugh terminator died after 2 just let its body rest already
ugh terminator died after 2 just let its body rest already
The message of 2 was kinda ruined. Terminator 2's message was "the future is not yet set" and Terminator 3 went "Nope, there will always be robots!"
And four was supposed to start a new franchise under a different protagonist but the studio intervened and we got an ending that ended up being, NO JOHN YOU ARE THE ROBOT NOW SINCE ROBOT ORGANS

Didn't the movies split into Alternate timelines at 3 though?

We can deny it all we want, but at the end of the day it exists and is real. [editline]5th September 2013[/editline]
Didn't the movies split into Alternate timelines at 3 though?
I'd say the T2 novels where the person who the terminator was based on happens to move next door to the Connors and starts a sexual relationship with Sarah.
I thought we were suppossed to live under the impression that T3 and T4 didn't happen. :v:
They didn't.
So how will T1000 having wrinkles fit into this? Unless they use CGI or something. Oh god.. could you imagine, CGI Arnold keeping the franchise alive :v:
There's really no reason at all to even include Arnie in the production anymore. The only story they have left to tell is the war itself and to do that they should turn to making a miniseries and doing it like Band of Brothers.

So they sent back a much older-looking Terminator, because the older someone is, the less suspicious they are.
The organic skin on the T1000 ages? v:v:v
T-1000's are liquid metal.
Hold the fucking phone. There's a Terminator 4? Is it as bad as Terminator 3?
T-1000's are liquid metal.
Ok, T-100, but that's what I figured too. [editline]5th September 2013[/editline]
Hold the fucking phone.
nope, Salvation
..er yeah that one.
I liked Salvation. It could of been done better but in the end i liked it.
I liked Salvation.
Hold the fucking phone. There's a Terminator 4? Is it as bad as Terminator 3?
Worse.
James Cameron's Terminator films (the first two) are the only ones I've bothered to watch. T2 might be my all time favourite movie
Terminator 5 is gonna go back in time and prevent 3 and 4 from being made.
Terminator 5 is gonna go back in time and prevent 3 and 4 from being made.
we can only dream
we can only dream
please no, anything but dreams if there's one thing we've learnt from the franchise it's that dreams are only full of red-eyed murderous metal skeletons and nuclear destruction
