So I'm about to send this to http://www.teefury.com/ soon and I was wondering which one would look better. Any criticisms or thoughts would be appreciated too.
I was thinking of a 'hard light' bridge in the first one, but it's hard to draw it with limited colors.

2nd one
The pale blue doesn't fit with the first one
that is
awesome
I would buy that shirt
I think the last one looks better, the orange and blue is more spread out compared to the first one where blue is the most overtaking color. The second one has a better balance color-wise.
That's a brilliant shirt design.
I think you should not make them stepping through the portals, because you can't see Chell's foot through the back one. So spread the portals a little more down the line. Also, I think it would be cooler if you just put a hard light bridge there instead. I know it ruins the imagery, but I think people will still see the reference either way.
make more
^This is my first non-school related shirt, so I'm not even sure what teefury's reception is going to be on this =I
and thanks for the comments guys, 2nd one it is then

The thing about distancing the portals is that I think the portals are already disrupting the balance of the design, spreading them further would only make it worse. But if anything, I should draw silhouettes to depict that they are portals:

The thing about the light bridge is that the strong blue would be too contrasting to the shirt, and as much as I would like to cram in as many 'frankenturrets' and panels into it as possible, I need to remember that a shirt is something people would want to wear. But again thanks for the suggestion.
Have you gotten these printed yet? I would be careful with the gradients on the cross walk, they do not transition well onto shirts and cost a lot of ink.
edit- also while it is not part of the original design, the sentry bot on the far left (I do not know what theyre called)
I think should have some orange in it or blue.

i don't think gradients take up that much more ink if you think about the way a printer works

It would actually take up no more ink, less actually if you are gradating to the shirt color not another printed color.

I'm still signing up on the website. If anything, I've seen other designs on the site that relied on lots of value transitions. I.e.

I could also substitute the gradient with ben day dots if need be, but to stay true to portal, the most I can do with the sentry is to give it a red eye. Didn't do that before since I'm limited to 6 colors..

i knew one chains 1 was full of shit
I like it a lot, is it really a problem to use a gradient or maybe even just just one grey color, 'cause the dots look awful on this.
Thats a wonderful desing you got there sir
Heh, that is pretty neat.
I would definitely buy this if it showed up on teefury or something like that.

Heh, taking your butthurt to another thread, chill kiddo.
I was speaking from experience when I tried to create a t-shirt which utilized gradients, and the company I tried to get it printed under had that issue! Obviously being wrong on the internet once makes you an absolute retard!
Anyways, I can't wait to see it printed! I would be in to buy one.

i only see one butthurt person here and its not me hehe!
I didnt know butthurt moderators were allowed to derail threads!
Annyyyywaaaayyysss
What program did you use to create this chesty? I have always wanted to get into vector art.
Haha genius design, love it!
I would totally make this the first shirt I ever bought online
Also, gradients are difficult to create, and what they use on t-shirts isnt a true gradient.

So there you go rusty, source that I am not speaking through my ass.

No really, I want the shirt. Now.
Hey, I'd like this to be printed as fast as anybody else, and I'm not even sure when or even IF they're gonna accept it.
Anyhow, I've already sent in the design with the gradient, so now I'll have to wait for a reply. Considering the number of artists on the site I wouldn't expect it anytime soon.

I actually used Photoshop cs2, not illustrator/a vector program. I mainly use a hard brush+eraser combo, and for perfect curves I use the pen tool+selection option.

Will you try out regular websites if you don't get accepted?

not all tshirt printing is done with screenprinting so this isn't really that great of an article.
Also gradients are not difficult to create.
Might be interesting to have some blue or orange gel on those steps.
I think it would make the design too busy.
I think you should swap the turret with Rattman.
It's great btw.

but for mass production they are, and that's what were focusing on.
btw to OP I think the guys at teefury would accept that, but then again, copyrights and all that
If you can't get anywhere to print this would you mind if I print it locally?
