Borderlands 2: The Looter's Guide - Eridian Technology (E-Tech)
31 replies, posted
Of all the requests for future guides, the one that stuck out the most was E-Tech.
While E-Tech isn't by definition a manufacturer, it's about as complex, if not more. Because of this, it became clear a guide on it wouldn't be out of place whatsoever.
When the smoke had passed, it ended up becoming the most heavily put-together guide I have ever produced to date.
In the same vein as the rest, this guide will go deeply in-depth covering E-Tech weapons, explaining every bit of information that could be found.
If you had ever wondered what makes E-Tech special, this guide should do it very nicely for you.

Let me know what you guys think! Be sure to leave a suggestion for a future guide such as:
Seraph Gear
Shields
Grenade Mods

Anyways, I would like to thank you for watching and supporting these guides over the course of these many months!
I like your voice
Quality of these videos has definitely improved since you started. Good job!
That music is hella familiar. Where is it from?

Isn't it from the bandit arena in the fridge?

Yup, more specifically, the Fink's Slaughterhouse
Your voice is awesome to listen to, i'd even watch let's plays if you did some :v:
Edit:
Also, thanks for all the info on the e-tech guns, i love borderlands 2
Really useful and well-built weapon guide. It was made in a good order, well categorized and your voice made it clear and easy to listen.
Optionally people could just go to Borderlands wiki and search E-Tech. MUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUCH more comprehensive info and much more accurate research.

You're right, even though a good portion of my research came from there, so I guess because it's in video form it becomes much less accurate?

I usually prefer wikis over a random Youtube infovideos myself.

So, your preference. Not other peoples.

Sorry, I just thought people think of a wiki when they need info instead of putting their search word in Youtube.

I'm sure a lot of people don't actually watch these videos just for the raw data, I haven't played Borderlands 2 in ages; I just watch these videos because they're well made and entertaining.
The pronouncing.

Have you done a looters guide for the first borderlands? If not, I'd love to see one.

Haha, it was a derp moment, don't judge :)
Have you done a looters guide for the first borderlands? If not, I'd love to see one.
I'd like to say I would, but I know I will never do so for 2 reasons:
- It's an out of date game in comparison to Borderlands 2, and because Youtube works around what's trending, the work put into the guides would give little in return, which is not only demotivating, but depressing.
- I couldn't see myself playing the original since Borderlands 2 improves upon the first installment in almost every way.
That's not to say I will mention the differences and similarities of the first and second games' manufacturers in a video at some point (Hint, hint "Subscribe for it!" /end shameless advertising*), but it will never be a guide, which requires way more work, with little in return for what it's worth.
It would have been cool if I made guides way back when the first game was released, but the past cannot be changed, sadly.
Thanks for the input though!
No offence or anything, but why does every youtube gaming video ever start with "What's going on guys?"
No offence or anything, but why does every youtube gaming video ever start with "What's going on guys?"
That means 'hi', typically. :v
Maybe you could do one on class mods.

I have no clue, but it's certainly true.
I've been thinking about switching it up, usually by default I either say "What's going on guys?" OR "What's up guys?" It's a natural intro, but I hate it, I'd at least hope for something a bit more original haha.

Yeah, I remember you helping me out with the Jakobs guide :)
The Maliwan guide was highly structured and formulated, a complete opposite of Jakobs.
I took both of those two to make a slightly casual (unscripted), but still highly structured, and I think it turned out well. I don't see a reason to change anything at this point as no one seems to be pointing out any major problems across the board.
Thanks for the help way back when haha.

Keep your own preferences to yourself I'm 100% sure that everyone here is capable of searching up a wiki but finding a high quality video that explains each weapon should be congratulated not condemned.
Maybe you could do one on class mods.
That's a possibility. I'm a bit worried about doing a shield guide or a class mod guide however, because I don't know if they have enough information to warrant making a guide.
If there is, consider on my list :)
T'was a pretty good episode, but the one thing you seem to have missed is the spread shot effect when it comes to the Dahl blasters.

Aww, you know I had that in mind but didn't mention it. It somewhat goes with the statement I said about the assault rifles: It really depends on the company. In this case, because Dahl manufactures burst weapons, it shouldn't be too hard for someone to realize that that is their specific characteristic.
If I mentioned that, I would have had to mention the characteristics of Vladof as well (bullets ricochet everywhere), which would have complicated the guide (because I would need to do it for all of them) and made it a quite a bit longer than it already is. I figured it was something that people could live without.
I'd really like a Torgue Etech
Very well done!
Can we get a video on Unique/Orange weapons next?
Or red text weapons?
