I guess he stopped talking with the police and when they went in they found him dead. The article states that he was, "found".

Not sure which I'd like more; is it better that he killed himself, or that the police/swat came in and decided that no amount of jail-time would teach that dude that what he did was absolutely horrid.

Plus the poor kid has autism. At least the guy took proper care of the kid, well as proper as it can get anyway, he had police give him stuff the kid liked and toys and the kid's meds for his autism. The only thing they can display is his first name and only with parental consent.
