A teen who crossed South America in hopes of meeting Pope Francis walked by foot because he had no money – and now he wants to return by foot “to thank those who helped him.”
“I met poor people that offer you everything and rich people that don’t offer you anything,” Facundo Antonio Sebastian Tolaba said. “Since they helped me, I want to help them now.”
“I want to return and tell the people I’ve met, ‘look, I’m back and I’ve brought you something’,” he told CNA July 27.
He also hopes to continue “infecting people” with Jesus and, as Pope Francis advises, to make a mess of things.
That's some dedication there.

Thanks for telling me, I had forgotten
And people say religion has no positive aspects.

That's not religion, that's initiative and a positive attitude. If anything, religion only has an indirect role in this as it served as his motivation to cross the continent.
What a great kid empowered by the lord, this really does show you what you can do with the strength of Jesus.
Pope should have a meal with him if he wants to help the poor seeing he couldn't afford to get there and it also rewards his dedication. Win win for everyone.

...Yeah, sounds like a positive aspect.

Bloody hell that sounds nasty.
If only he could have used his boundless energy, for a useful purpose.

Well, considering just about everything people use as examples of religion having negative aspects only have religion serving in an indirect role as motivation (if not less), I don't see why that same logic can't be applied to positive ones.

Your tests came back, I'm sorry to say that you've been infected with Jesus.
Mild contribution = Religion's awesome? wow yeah. ok.
No, but it provided motivation. That's a positive aspect.

I don't think people believe religion has zero positive aspects, but how many cases are there where it has produced negative aspects?
Still, great on him to do that, that's serious dedication.

Also have to consider confirmation bias for those who have a disdain for religion.
Not to mention the fact that stories about bad things are more prevalent in getting around than happy, good things. That's not just in religion, but in everything. Especially when the media knows "bad news sells".
