looks like cultural translation problems probably aren't the reason The Great Ace Attorney isn't being localized outside of Japan
Sherlock homes looks kawaii as fuck
Sherlock homes looks kawaii as fuck
Thats in the great ace attorney, not ace attorney 6.
It took them ages to bring over Layton vs Wright, maybe Great Ace Attorney will be the same.
This does look promising, but God I want Great Ace Attorney as well.
What's the problem with Great Ace Attorney's translation?
we'd better get maya
What's the problem with Great Ace Attorney's translation?
The impression was that while the mainline series can move them to Los Angeles and have them eating "Hamburgers", Great Ace Attorney has a girl in a Kimono and the protagonist being Japanese is a big deal. With them unable to Americanise it, they decided not to bring it over since it's just a spin-off. Still hoping that's not the case and they'll localise it eventually. Most of it is set in England so a bit of Japanese stuff isn't a dealbreaker.

Seems like it just pisses people off that they're not getting the "actual" product but maybe that's just what I hear because I spend most of my time around nerds.
Bear in mind this is Capcom we're talking about. Their slogan may as well be "Actually we don't want your money."
What's the problem with Great Ace Attorney's translation?
I think I remember reading somewhere that they are only wanting to work on one localization at a time and they are working on AA6 right now. We might get DGS eventually. I'm not too happy that they decided to use the T&T objection theme AGAIN. I wanted new music.
It will probably take some time before we see this game next year, since they only show footage from the first case in this trailer.
I don't get capcom. They have all these IPs that everyone loves over here (Monster Hunter, Phoenix Wright, Megaman, Okami, Viewtaful Joe, Megaman X, Dark Stalkers, Capcom VS) and they either don't make these games in favor of shitting out another bad Resident Evil (whhhhy!?), rebooting them poorly like with Devil May Cry (Fuck you!), or failing to localize them! Why?! What's the point of creating the game for such a niche market and then not taking the tiny amount of money it would take (comparatively) to translate the damn things!? Especially in this digital age it's such a small risk it's like throwing money out the window!
all hail king payne
I absolutely love how he goes to a place where(at first thought) he can't be opposed. God bless Payne.

Apollo confirmed. Same trailer but with an extended ending (1:55) .
Hopefully one day we'll get an Ace Attorney game with full voice acting. I was so disappointed that the first 5 or 10 minutes of PLxAA was voiced then I started seeing the text just printed on the screen.

Los Angeles looks very accurate in this trailer.
