A Girl In My Town Is In The Hospital After A Car Wreck, And Her Family Needs A New Car

Hello Facepunch. Today, I come to you with a story about what happened to our small town recently. An 11th grader here recently got in a bad accident when she missed a curve and hit a cement column.

The link explains the accident in a lot more detail. I understand that you all are very weary about donations, which I understand. A few things have happened and with the economy the way it is and the fact it is hard to get jobs, money is tight. I do ask though, if you have anything to spare, a donation to them would be good. I am proud of my town for being so tight knit and coming together to help. Lots of stores are doing fundraisers around here, and I am making this thread in hopes of helping the family.

The donations are for a new car. The idea came from my old English II teacher. That was the families only car, and cars aren't exactly cheap. I really want to see her improve. The website has a donation paypal thing in the upper left corner. If it makes anyone feel better, here are some more comforting notes:

1. I obviously wont be handling any money here. Although I know you all are not as trusting these days, you have my word it goes to where it says it will.

2. I could get in contact with the girl in question, and get pictures of the car.

Overall, I know my word doesn't mean a lot here, and I would like to say I understand. I do want to do something for them, and I will be being from stores participating in the fundraiser, but posting here could help yield some extra cash for them, even if it isn't a ton, it still is some.

Please, let me know if there is anything I can do to help you all out more with the whole trust thing. I do want to make you all as comfortable as possible. My heart is out to helping the girl. In seriousness it's very sad, many people get injured or worse when failing to take curves.

At least it's for a good cause. The family could of lost their daughter, and a car is pretty much a necessity in this town, since it isn't a place you can just walk around in like a big city.
