Steven Universe Pilot - General

But what many people don't know is that the pilot of the show was radically different than the one we know today. So here is the original pilot in all its glory.

i heard tumblr likes this show so it must be bad?????????????? I need to get around to watching it. Eventually. Gotta catch up on Gravity Falls first.

Steven Universe is great, the pilot is scary, because I saw it after I watched the rest.

I watched the first "season." It's a kids show, but damn is it good, some episodes making you go "holy fucking shit, that was dark." Highly recomended.

I enjoy the show, but I can't stand Steven's current voice actor.

Also man, they changed so much but recently a lot of their outfits kinda became mixes of the Pilot and Current ones.

Since this might become a discussion about the Pilot, here's something I made months ago when I was bored. Well, they had to distill the character designs into their most basic forms for recognizably and ease of use so ofc they're better I can't really think of a pilot-show redesign where I didn't like the show more

While the high amount of detail looks good the simplistic style is much easier on the eyes and probably easier to animate. The show as a whole has only gotten better as time goes on.

The season 1 finale was so good also.
