I know it's a few weeks old, but:

Completely says fuck you to the blindfold, but still very strange and entertaining. Does anyone here know how he did it?
Also, bonus content:

that guys pretty cool
he possibly could have done something like darren brown does

although if he did it to 3 different people in the span of a few minutes, that's seriously fucking impressive.
I liked the HORSE video better.

I liked the crunching noise when Nick was kicking it.
Wow, how the hell?
Wow, just noticed.
Remember this guy?

He made it on.
I'd really love to know how he actually does that
Whenever I see this kind of stuff on TV it's always staged, but for it to be live in front of an audience and for an audition nonetheless is quite unique
It is very well possible that he in-fact is capable of "reading" the thoughts of others. He is pretty damn good at it.
I don't believe he's actually reading anyone's mind.
I don't believe he's actually reading anyone's mind.
Maybe because, you know, it's impossible? If it was, science as we know it would crumble and the Laws of Physics would all cease to matter. Like was said before, just clever manipulation, smoke and mirrors kind of stuff.
Someone in the audience feeding him through an ear piece.
After all he does ask him to hold the paper up quite in plain view.
I'd love to see James Randi debunk him.
But what is that round thing he puts under the tape? Coins? camera? Nvm didnt listen to start.

Now that you mention it, chances are the coins are some sort of speakers. Even if they're quiet, they're so close to his head that it's easy to hear, especially with the duct tape around his ears prevented outside noise from making it even harder. All the guy has to do is feed him small details "Far side of head, ear", "Howard's portrait", "round spectacles" and bam the guy's got it.

Why is his crotch pixelated, are his balls hanging out or?
Somebody did something like this on Penn And Tellers fool us, right down to the duct tape with coin in them and then wrapping loads of duct tape around his head.

And? Did they know how it was done?
The crowd and music in the Horse video sounded like super smash Brothers :v:
The fact the guy put coins on his eyes as opposed to just ducktaping is clearly because it's part of the trick.
Could he maybe have something in his ear? It'd be really easy if there's someone in the audience telling him what's on the drawings as they're shown. This would make sense with Howard's drawing, as he fumbles and pauses while it is upside down.
[editline]15th June 2012[/editline]
It's also pretty obvious that he isn't thinking that much about what he's even saying. The last one, he enthusiastically guesses is Sharon's drawing, even though he should have been able to work out that she was the only one left.
[editline]15th June 2012[/editline]
Wait, seriously, he is holding the drawings? The ink clearly shows through the paper and everybody knows you can still see through a blindfold if you look down, so he doesn't even need someone in the audience, even though I still think that's what he did... Maybe?

I always thought the entire reason for putting the coins over the eyes was that so when you do tape them on, they leave a gap so you can look down. If you tape from the bridge of your nose to the corner of your eye, there's going to be a pretty big gap anyway. Watching it again, seeing that he's holding the drawing and correctly oriented in his hands, and being able to actually see the gap under his eye to look down, I think this is how he did it
why would that horse guy do that
why
whyyyy
Who says there's not an earpiece in the rest of the tape.
I have a feeling that the next time he is on he'll do something where someone with a microphone in the audience cannot help him.

How much of what Derren Brown does is actually true? It bothers me how it all seems so very plausible but completely amazing, yet nobody seems to manage to actually see if it is true?
In my experience many people refer to Derren Brown as all true and no tricks, but I've never seen anyone try to actually test it like you'd demand for an alleged psychic.
For example, the subject in that video is actor Simon Pegg. Why him?
And if everything Derren Brown does, then how nobody else uses it for more sinister purposes? (assuming of course that they haven't just mind controlled us all into thinking they don't)
Hes pretty quick to get those coins out of sight.

considering DB does live shows with randomly selected volunteers (look these shows up, they're simply amazing), it'd be pretty hard to fake everything he does.
and people do use it for sinister purposes:

If you read some of his books, he does a great job of describing the tricks he does and how easy some of them really are to pull off.
