Any critisism or comments?
Thanks alot!
host it on soundcloud so we don't have to download it, I'll leave my thoughts when it finishes downloading and I get to listen to it.
EDIT:
I don't like the type of piano hit at :50, theres some really low piano sounding chords being hit once and while which I don't like all that much. Im liking the song when it starts building up halfway through. I like the part that begins at 3.55. Thats all about I can say, I'm not much of a music aficionado.
Thank you for replying!
Hehe, that chord is meant to be 'ugly'. Thanks again :)
Commentary as I listen: the piano is way too synchronized. It sounds really unnatural. You should invest in a MIDI keyboard so you can actually play this stuff... I don't really like this piano at all... it's not pretty or catchy or anything. it's just abrupt and unappealing... wow this is going on forever.......... these drums are kinda cool. it's got a metroid prime feel to it... okay this is a little better... the bass is pretty catchy i suppose... drums work well with the rest of the song... i like this dissonant patchy interlude you have towards the end.
Okay, all in all, it was so-so. The intro was painful to listen to after awhile, but the song got better afterwards. However, It was more of a soundtrack than anything, and if you keep producing music like this youll just be stuck making music for 007 games. you should work on coming up with catchy beats and memorable leads.
It's not bad actually.
- piano sounds to rigid, try to humanize it a little
- the pad overpowers the piano a bit much
- the part with the drums and distorted pad comes out of nowhere, almost seems like it should be an entirely different track
- the mix gets a bit muddy at 3.17, do some EQing to remove the clashing frequencies
- i like the drums at 3.56, try adding some more variation in the chopping
- the song should've just ended at 5.06
overall it's not bad, it just sounds a bit generic. good for a beginner
Feels like it'd make nice ambient music for a game.
