We've read the rumors, we've seen the banners, and now it's finally here. Live from the Moscone Center in San Francisco, Tim Cook has just taken the wraps off of the latest upgrade to Apple's mobile operating system (after pumping up the crowd with some shimmering stats for the current OS, naturally), and as expected, the company's maintained its familiar naming scheme, introducing the world to iOS 7. Cook called it the biggest change to the operating system since the introduction of the iPhone, bold words supported by new features and a new design that managed to get a visible gasp from the room full of developers when shown off in a promo video.
It's still happening right now. You can only watch the official stream if you have a Mac or iOS device but here's a Ustream mirror with some fucking annoying people talking over everything
Starting to look more like android now.
It... Looks like a flatter iOS with an Android lock screen.
Not exactly the big revolutionary change they were pumping it up to be, but that's Apple for you.
SPOKE TOO SOON - SEE BELOW
oh boy another update to make my iPhone lag even more than before.
The apple stream just tells me to check back later...
Wow, its ugly, bright, and even managed to copy off Google's design!
That's ugly as shit and my friend with an iPhone 4 is hoping very much it isn't coming to his device.
There's a parallax effect on the home screen app icons move as you move the phone, making it look like they are actually 'above' the background. It's a gimmick but a really cool one
i swear to god, iOS looks more like android every update
It looks like Holo with an opposite colour scheme to me, but it also looks amazing too.
Everything looks great except those icons.
I like it.
why is everybody bashing this, it looks pretty fucking awesome
-sigh snip everyone's going to disagree with me-
Looks like Commodore 64
Looks like a few lawsuits coming up to me, which means more SH content regarding some of the most hilarious rivalries in technology to date.

So, like android has done forever?
It seems like it's designed more with the white iPhone in mind, rather than black as it was before

... Ah, some of those submenus give me a very Metro vibe. I'm a fervent Apple hater, but I actually like some of the design going on here. It actually looks very clean and modern... for once. It looks functional and modest rather than in-your-face "FUTURISTIC." Very... Anti-Apple of them. Less "MAGICAL EXPERIENCE" pretentiousness and more of a utilitarian "hey, let's gets stuff done."
I'm surprised at Apple, going the practicality route for once. Their egos must finally be deflating with Jobs out of the picture.
I have been using that same font on my Jailbroken iPhone. :v:
Meh
If i want Android ill get a Android-phone
i like this new apple
now lets wait for a lawsuit from google
Control center is really fucking ugly.
If they were going to go with a flat-modern look they should have had everything square/rectangular with nice crisp lines. All these circles are ugly as sin.

Android is better anyways.
now lets wait for a lawsuit from google
I'm sure they've consulted a few dozen IP lawyers.
I think that looks a lot better.
i'm pretty sure the higher ups forced some of these decisions
Did you get Inacio permad already?
