Hey guys
I'm here to show you one of my songs, its the second song I've ever wrote and took me the last few months to get it to a point where I was completely happy with it!
Its a home demo and I'm not really great at recording but it's acceptable as a demo.
I hope you guys like it and be completely honest with your opinions as I am completely open to criticism.
Production wise and recording gear I use:
Vocal recording - Samson C03 Condenser Microphone, alot of compression, a little bit of reverb.
Guitar recording - Gibson SG Standard, Planet Waves Cables, Amplitube 3 (Gain 5, Bass - 4, Mids - 6, Treble 9) , PSP Vintage Warmer (Heavy Rhythm Guitar Setting) ALSO, HEAVY DOUBLE TRACKING ON GUITARS (PANNED HARD LEFT, HARD RIGHT)
Bass recording - Yamaha Bass, Ampeg SVX.
Drum recording - Triggered into Addictive Drums 1.0
And studio wise I use a Macbook Pro OSX 10.4 with Logic 9, M-Audio Fast Track Pro and KRK RP5.
Thanks, YouTube raped the quality but here you go...

Ask if you would like a HQ download link and ill put one on here.
Thumbs up. Just wish it had a killer solo instead of the slower spot at around 2:30
What are you using to record your guitars? The production sounds top notch for a home recording, and frankly sounds better to me that a lot of the stuff released today.
Not really a fan of that type of music so I can't offer anything there.
I'm not really into that, but nice voice, nice tone, sounds great.
I'd also like to know how you recorded it.
Make a band.
Thanks alot, means alot! :) and jedi, I would if I could, but my solo writing skills are merely average :(
I added some info into the OP about recording gear and techniques, also feel free to ask any more questions and I can get you links for gear.
Awesome guitar tone and a pretty decent song, even though I'm not really in to that type of music.
Really, top notch.
Not my kind of genre, but the quality for a home-recording is outstanding. It sounds very professional.
What interface are you using between your guitar and PC? Easily the best sound I've ever heard from software amp emulators.

I use a M-Audio Fast Track Pro, (http://www.m-audio.com/products/en_us/FastTrackPro.html)
With my PC I get some tiny latency problems but on the mac its not to bad at all, I'm thinking of upgrading soon to the Apogee Duet (http://www.apogeedigital.com/products/duet.php) for my mac, as it gets rid of all latency problems even at high sample rates apparently, from the interface I use two phono cables to connect it to my speakers, the interface supports phono out and quarter inch out for output, I would have preferred XLR out though, as i'm guessing it would be better quality.
I think the PSP Vintage Warmer (http://www.pspaudioware.com/plugins/dynamic_processors/psp_vintagewarmer2/) also has a lot to do with the sound, its a brilliant plugin.
Wow, I like it!
wow, That was sick. Way better than I thought it would be.
Like everyone else, I think the sound quality is superb. In my opinion, the guitar should have a bit more variation. It'll make the song livelier or something like that.
I think it is a well produced piece and the music sound good. I don't think I'd listen to the music because it's a bit bland for me, but that is a more personal taste, I think a lot of people would enjoy it.
Some issues I think it has is
-Bass doesn't have to much power to it and it's harder to notice.
-Kick feels like it is in the mids frequencies.
-I'd say sounds pretty over compressed by the lack of dynamics.
You've been working on mixing the song for a month, so I don't think you can call it a demo.
I was pleasantly surprised by this, great job!
I like this a lot. Keep it up man this is good stuff.
