Meh I prefer Danger Dolan, atleast he doesn't take bribes. I'll give Watchmojo this, atleast they're not Buzzfeed.

(Note: REPLIES CAP OUT AT 500 REPLIES! I think, that is why you can no longer to this original comment, FYI)
This was a rather entertaining video. Everyone's entitled to their opinion, so more power to ya. But, a few inaccuracies I'd like to point out:
1) Those sexy fashion shows were indeed the first ones published on the current WatchMojo channel (launched in 2007), but they definitely were not at all what we initially produced in 2006. We kicked off the new channel in '07 with eye candy because people like to see sexy women... we're not prudes, and wanted to avoid blandness, ironically :)
2) That How To clip you reference is a reflection of the period when we focused on how to's, which we licensed to many including Aol. We then shifted to Lifestyle clips, which our friends over at MSN appreciated. Eventually we transitioned to Biographes/Profiles, which powered Yahoo!'s video section. Eventually we started to do more Top 10s, not just because we liked those, but because other partners like Hulu enjoyed them. And as fans of YouTube, we naturally published them all on YouTube, as well. Today, we only/mainly do Top10s because that's what we're most passionate about.
3) Yes everyone's entitled to their own opinion, but the argument that there can only be one kind of content on YouTube is arrogant IMHO. YouTube is a billion different things to a billion different people. I admire/respect the personality-driven hosted channel, but for every one good one, there's a million bad one. (Does the world, or YouTube, need another vlogger?) So, yes, I focused on creating content that I found useful, informative and entertaining... and today, there are only 15 channels with more all-time views & subscribers. If that's a crime: guilty! In fact, some people will listen to your delivery and would rather watch paint dry... that's your delivery, it's your style, it's your schtick and it works if you ask me.
4) As you can see, we've been around since 2006 & sought to "publish a video on every topic, to inform and entertain," hence the volume of clips on our channel. I would not call us a Wikipedia of video as we are NOT a user-generated content site, but that's indeed the DNA and pedigree. We blend a LOT of research and opinion in the lists, to marry objective entries with subjective criteria. It's a choice, many seem to like it. Creating Top 10s are actually harder than you can imagine, especially when blending in the video component.
5) To call us corporate is kinda laughable as we consistently shun corporate inbound interest to invest or acquire us, and generally avoid working with marketers unless they get that our audience and content come first. But sure, I want to build a healthy business, again: guilty! That said, we turn down 99.9+% of offers we get. Plus, the racier the clip, the least likely advertisers will want to run ads next to it, so we make less money off those.
6) You seem to totally miss the point of the channel, which is this: we marry the wisdom of the crowds and putting viewers/users first with regards to suggestions & ideas, but we then marry that to proper research and premium production. Sure, mistakes do happen, but out of the 1500 topics we feature across 150 top 10 lists, our error rate is rather low.
7) We publish 5 videos per day because
- with 8M subs, we hope that each day you will love 1 video, maybe 2, ideally 3, hopefully 4 and if we're really lucky, 5 out of 5! When we had 100,000 subs, we could get away with 1 clip and hope that 50% of them liked it, but with 8M subs, across the world and many ages, that is impossible.
- we get millions of suggestions, so we want to please as many people as possible
8) Hundreds of thousands of students use our videos to complement their textbooks and learn English around the world, so yes, we adopt a certain style. We purposely strive for objectivity and impartiality in a certain style that stands out on YouTube, because there are a gazillion vlogs. Do we make errors? Of course. That comes with the territory, but our error rate is below the industry average and the fact that news organizations also use our videos speaks volumes about the quality.
9) Bottom line: you run a channel on hating things (would your fans be "Haters" the way ours are "Mojoholics," - if so, I shall call them that!) so seeing this is akin to being an artist and seeing SNL make fun of you (I can live with that). But, some may accuse you of being greedy and envious of others, but that's the beauty of YouTube (& the web), you can watch what you want and avoid what you don't want to watch... I think it's all good, I liked the clip a lot & only wish you didn't have so many misconceptions about us so you could have delivered a better critic!
10) The fact that we pop up so much in "Related Videos" has little to do with output and more to do with the fact that viewers who do click on our videos tend to watch a high proportion of the clip. That is a testament to the quality of the clip and the fact that it's actually the opposite of Clickbait.

p.s. To ensure this isn't lost on anyone, I edited this initial comment to reflect much banter below and questions I addressed from your fans (whom I realized are not in fact called "Haters") but the overall content and tone remains the same. Anyway, it's been fun. Email me if you have any further feedback and questions. Cheers.

Well I think that put this "I hate everything" guy in his place.
Where there's money to be made, there are people who will make that money. I see no problem with WatchMojo.
I really don't mind their videos. Yes, some ideas are bland and desperate, but the execution is pretty good.
They're usually the most predictable videos just meant to please people interested in the basic topic. No opinions or even jokes.
WatchMojo is great for when you're bored out of your mind and want to kill some time.
http://www.tvtropes.com
Yes I am aware that there is more than one way to kill time.
They're usually the most predictable videos just meant to please people interested in the basic topic. No opinions or even jokes.
On top of that, the one video I watched of them I remember the guy talking sounded really monotone, like someone muttering along the text from a book without even thinking about it.
That's fine I guess, but I feel like that kind of thing would be better in text form.
They even put it in a 1-10 list goddaaaaaaammmnn
Those cheeky bastards!
Watchmojo isnt too bad, I mean they sure arnt some great super site either but atleast they arnt acting all EA bitching about critisism.
Meh I prefer Danger Dolan, atleast he doesn't take bribes. I'll give Watchmojo this, atleast they're not Buzzfeed.
why? Theyre literally lazy clickbait articles in a video format
People making videos about random shit they hate are weird.
why? Theyre literally lazy clickbait articles in a video format
why to which? the Danger Dolan thing or the Buzzfeed thing?
this dude's videos are as unique as peter griffin's "you know what really grinds my gears"
Yeah please stop posting this guy's shit, he's definitely worse than watchmojo.
And he's filling the trope of drawing myself as shitty oc instead of showing my face
You know, I've been thinking of doing a top numbers videos. I worry about copyright notices though, but if I were to do one like say top 5 unbelievable facts about the Vietnam war would anyone watch it?
I hate I hate Everything because all he does is talk shit about everything else without doing a good job about talking shit about himself.
At least FilthyFrank knows his content is shit and neither himself or his fans take his shitposting seriously.

That's something different though, IHE features reviews, Filthy Frank has people cooking shrimps that were thrown into the toilet, bald people that has been dipped in chocolate, cooking ramen in a fucking bathtub and rapping about anal beads
Now, who do you think is gonna talk shit about themself as a joke, the guy that does reviews or the guy that cooks dead fucking rats and shows it to a midget
I can't believe that's actually real
why? Theyre literally lazy clickbait articles in a video format
I used to like Dolan but ever since he shifted all his content making to Hellbent I've kind of just stopped watching.
And he thinks he's any better then them?
YAnd he's filling the trope of drawing myself as shitty oc instead of showing my face
I fail to see the problem with that? People like Mat Pat show their face in their videos and I honestly wish he wouldn't. Not everyone wants to put their real face all over their content.
And he thinks he's any better then them?
What is sharing opinions. Jesus people get over it. It's literally a disclaimer at the beginning of the video.
I can't believe that's actually real
That's disgusting! How could you be so tasteless...
Not to be rude, but someone calling out watchmojo for being inoffensive, this guys content feels markedly... safe.
Like, I haven't seen a whole lot of his videos, but of those that I have they just seem to pick a fairly obvious target and say fairly obvious things to an audience who will buy and large just nod their heads in agreement.
WatchMojo is great for when you're bored out of your mind and want to kill some time.
why kill time when you can kill yourself
One of my co-workers watches Mojo on his break. It's an easy way to kill time while eating lunch, and it's really not that bad for informative entertainment.
