I don't understand what happened here.
I don't understand what happened here.
I'm having a hard time reading the situation too. At first glance, I'm guessing the guy in the stationwagon was being tailgated by the driver in the vid at one point, and retaliated by going ahead and doing a brake check. At second glance, I don't see him hitting his brakes so maybe our driver sped up and rear-ended the guy in a "This is why you don't tailgate" kind of way. I don't know. Speaking of this though, is it just me or is tailgating getting more and more common? It's gotten so bad now that I'm seeing signs along the highway with "Tailgating Enforcement Zone." Given tailgating serves no real benefit, it's crazy to see so many people doing it.

It looks like attempted insurance fraud to me.
around here if you're being tailgated its common place to break-check in a way that says "back the fuck off what if i actually had to break moron"

brake checking is great. the rear of my truck has an iron bumper, a big fat hitch, and a slight lift. I've totalled a couple hondas (both silver civics and both driven by blonde 18 year old girls, weird right?) because of brake checking. only thing i've had to do is get it inspected to see if the frame's been tweaked at all, and get a new hitch cover :v: covered by their daddy's insurance of course. What bothers me though, is that im sure they got another shitty car, and continued to be a cunt on the road, thinking they did nothing wrong for them to be so close that their car gets totalled by mine in a relatively slow accident.
