Giuseppe Di Maria now faces possible disciplinary action following the memo sent to medical staff at the Santa Catarina Novella di Galatina Hospital near Lecce in southern Italy. The memo was sent after Di Maria received anonymous tip-offs about the practice at the hospital, the report said. Social services chiefs have opened an internal inquiry into the affair and also referred it to the local prosecutor's office. Director of social affairs Guido Scoditti said he had no choice but to pass the matter on to the authorities. "The director of the hospital has certainly made an error, he should not have sent this memo, he should have informed me directly. "The alleged consumption of cocaine in a hospital environment should certainly not be dealt with in this way," he said.[/release] I guess you could say... something illegal is happening in his hospital, right under his nose :v: [editline]15th December 2010[/editline]
Something just ain't right, I can smell it in the air.
why snort cocaine when they have endless supplies of medical opiates around? [editline]16th December 2010[/editline] and for cheap as well
Something just ain't right, I can smell it in the air.
Don't be nosy
why snort cocaine when they have endless supplies of medical opiates around? [editline]16th December 2010[/editline] and for cheap as well
there's a fundamental difference between an opiate and a stimulant
A memo? They should be fired, at least. [editline]15th December 2010[/editline] Oh, and their medical license revoked.
there's a fundamental difference between an opiate and a stimulant
Point is he's a doctor. He knows what things are like cocaine and he should have been doing them intravenously.
Patient: I Have a cold Doctor: Well i can prescribe you a few gram's of coke from my dealer :wtc:
One can only imagine what the graveyard shifts are like, in that hospital...
Point is he's a doctor. He knows what things are like cocaine and he should have been doing them intravenously.
Yeah, because shooting up cocaine in a hospital environment is a better way to do it. "Dr. Rosenburg, why do you have so many track marks on your arm?" "Oh, those, I take *tweak* daily vaccinations."
what did i just read
That is probably a shitty hospital. I wouldn't want my doctor to be high as fuck when he was performing surgery on me...
I somehow imagine most of the doctors looking like Raoul Duke wearing a white coat :v: [editline]15th December 2010[/editline] "Look, there's two women fucking a polar bear!" "Dr. Panuzzio, they're operating that patient" "Oh... :v:"
Cocaine is actually pretty popular among doctors.
A memo? They should be fired, at least. [editline]15th December 2010[/editline] Oh, and their medical license revoked.
Why? It's probably a talented doctor. He/she should have some rehabilitation instead.
I like the fact that they have to ask the doctors nicely to stop doing it.
why snort cocaine when they have endless supplies of medical opiates around? [editline]16th December 2010[/editline] and for cheap as well
They're not taking coke to get high, they're taking it to keep up with their extremely stressful work, where they often get very little sleep. Stimulants are very popular amongst doctors.
I'd rather have a doctor on cocaine than alcohol.
why snort cocaine when they have endless supplies of medical opiates around? [editline]16th December 2010[/editline] and for cheap as well
He'd fall asleep like two hours into his shift.
If I ever have to have a long, complicated surgery (3-8 hours), I hope to god my doctor is snorting cocaine or doing *some* kind of stimulant. Seriously, the work they do is almost supernatural, they're worked like robots.
They should keep their nose out of everyone's business.
Well what else can they do? If you drive them that hard and expect them to barely ever get sleep.
Well what else can they do? If you drive them that hard and expect them to barely ever get sleep.
Yup. Now that I think of it, most doctors and nurses have 12 or 24 hour shifts (I even heard of 36 hours shifts!)... I'm sure by the 14th hour you'd certainly need a little something to stay focused and awake
It's probably because doctors are generally overworked, so they take stimulants to keep themselves awake.
*SNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNCHGHHH* WOOO YEAH! LET'S DO SOME OPEN HEART SURGERY ON THIS BITCH! Uh doctor.... SCALPELS!!!
They're not doing coke, they just like the way it smells
Just be glad it wasn't PCP.
Just be glad it wasn't PCP.
"Doctor rapes patient with scalpel, eats colostomy bag"
Is cocaine legal in Italy?
Strange.
