I think I just cringed so hard my skin went inside out [editline]12th February 2015[/editline] THEY LEVELED UP
Literal gamer ISIS in this episode. lmao
It's somehow worse than I imagined it would be, a whole new level of strawman. Bravo!
They've completely lost all trace of subtlety when it comes to adapting real life events into stories.
"I read on Kotaku that..." Oh dear Ice-T
This need text like that Scientology episode of South Park - "This is was Anti-GamerGaters actually believe"
[TERRORISTS WIN]
This is just embarrasing. Who the fuck thought this would ever be a good idea?
BTW that end where she says "They already won" - that is actually how it ends, no joke.
this is how the mainstream audience is going to see "gamers" now. thanks lads. sure love being grouped into a group of cyberterrorist rapist murders.
They've completely lost all trace of subtlety when it comes to adapting real life events into stories.
Expanding on this, what was with all the name dropping and references anyway? Normally those would be done for jokes or fanservice, but this show isn't a comedy and gamers are hardly their target audience, anti-gamers won't care, and to gamers it's just awkward.
this is amazing satire
holy fuck this is amazing 10/10
ice-t, translating video games to mariska since 2015 "i read on kotaku"
I gotta check what my boys at Redchannit have to say about this episode.

The original ad for the episode said it was ripped straight from the headlines, headlines that most likely came from a certain name dropped website. The mess of slander levied at gamergate has had a predictable rippling effect, and further more there are those who wish to rally around this episode as some sort of expose. Perhaps the ridiculousness of this episode will bring some more level heads and some actual discussion can be had. But I doubt it.
"Fucking normies." That's really the best that can be said about this.
"Redchannit" :v:
"Redchannit" :v:
Covering all of the bases at once there. I think they did a social network site called Myface once too. Well, decided to watch the episode for myself, as is always the case with the most blatant headline lifted episodes it started with the "the following is fictional" disclaimer before even the title card.
"They leveled up"? Is writing believable dialogue really THAT hard?
"Better than Civ 5 with the BNW expansion pack." They forgot G&K.
Fifteen minutes in and I've already seen pretty much every bit of this video. The premise and set up is very rushed, all sorts of term drops and references that don't really seem to have much purpose, only one that was actually worth mentioning was doxxing. And maybe it's just because I'm more used to talking with gun nuts but to me FAL has always meant Fusil Automatique Léger, I've never heard it used for Failure At Life. But, for what it's worth, the only guy wearing a fedora so far is the cops' informant.
So cringe worthy. I can't look away, it's like a train wreck.
If anything I'd think the MRAs would enjoy this more than the AGGs since it depicts them as actually capable of doing something. I'm half an hour in and honestly aside from the incessant term dropping trying to relate it to the subject matter it really doesn't deviate all that much from the typical affair, actually in some ways it's a bit better than the usual since it's actually keeping focus on the story, not as much character drama. Although it does still suffer from SVU's tendency to focus more on the pursuit than the trial segments that made the original so enjoyable. Admittedly that has been a problem with SVU and most L&O spinoffs, but in SVU's case it was the character drama that was supposed to fill that void, so when you drop that it loses quite a bit.
where do i recognize the head kidnapper from
