Sadly they replaced the song Bubble with some generic buttrock because Sega are too cheap to pay for the licensing outside of Japan.
Original Japanese opening for comparison:

Agreed. Even if you don't have a PS4 you should buy it.

Also, this series has fucking amazing soundtracks that actually feel like video game music instead of the half assed Hans Zimmer ripoffs that you'd see in most modern games. This track is from Yakuza 6 but illustrates my point fine.

It's a prequel not a sequel.

It's a pretty common thing in Japan. Resident Evil 0 is a thing and Silent Hill: Origins was called Silent Hill 0 in Japan.
I look forward to enjoying the Majima Everywhere system.

I've played 1-5 over the past few months. If for some reason you can't play at least 3,4, and 5, then for the love of god buy this. These games are packed full of content and just feel really good to play. I feel bad for talking about this series so much but it's honestly so good and unfortunately underrated. If people need more convincing then I'll be happy to do so
I have midterms while this game releases but I'm still gonna find a way to fit in some time for this game. I heard it's the best in the series so far so I'm really excited.
Yakuza is amazing! Yakuza 4 was my first game for my PS3 and since then I have been enamored with the series.
Shame it's not on PC. This series looks really fun and goofy, and having the first game (story-wise) on Steam would've boosted sales.
Have any of the games other than the first been english dubbed? I'm fine with the Japanese voices but I just want Mark Hamill back as Majima.

Nope. The first game was such a flop for the money they put in, they never did more than basic localization afterwards.
I finished Yakuza 5 just recently so I absolutely cannot wait for this. The battle system looks much improved. The Yakuza series to me is the best series that Sega has ever produced. It's like their identity on a plate pretty much. And it's a shame that the Yakuza series doesn't have that much of a recognition here in the West. I'm guessing that's due to the fact that these games weren't advertised well and due to some people saying it's like Grand Theft Auto. Which gives others the idea that it's a game where you run over prostitutes and steal their money in Tokyo. It's not like that at all. These games are heavily focused on the story and are more role-play like then an open-world sandbox game. Basically if you have never played any of the Yakuza games before it's worth trying out. It's an over-the-top crime drama game that is fucking amazing.
It's a JRPG/beat em up hybrid, complete with random encounters. The only thing it has in common with GTA is the whole crime theme and even then it generally has a pretty optimistic tone compared to GTAs more dry, cynical and satirical tone.
Also best quote from any Yakuza game (Yakuza 1):

Wait, so can you play Yakuza 1 with English text and Japanese voices? Because I wanna play through this series and it's gonna be really weird if I have to hear English for the first game, and then have it switch for the entire rest of the series
I hope taxi driving missions are a part of this.
Would buying this game be a good start for a newcomer into the series?
Unless there's like a collection of the series on the PS4 to play?

It's a prequel to the first game and doesn't really have the sequel baggage of the other entries in the series so yeah, it would be a pretty good start. Especially since Kiwami, which is a remake of the first game, is coming out here in the west during summer.
