Now that we are coasting into April, many prospective undergraduate students(including me) are beginning to hear back from university admissions. Discuss your hopes for college, your acceptances, your experiences in college so far, your college past, tips for young'uns, etc. About me: I'm a high school senior, interested in mechanical/aerospace engineering. Back before the end of December, I sent out(mostly using the Common App) applications to: UC Los Angeles [✗] UC Berkeley [✗] Boston University [✓] Northeastern University [w] Tufts University [ ] Clarkson University [✓] Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute [w] Worcester Polytechnic Institute [✓] Rochester Institute of Technology [✓] I'm a NY resident, living near the city, and I like the northeast so I applied mostly to schools around the region. I've heard back from 8/9 on this list, so far I've been waitlisted to RPI and Northeastern, denied from both UCs(I don't really mind anyway though), and accepted at BU, Clarkson, WPI and RIT. A few have offered me scholarships and I'm going to have a tough time deciding between BU, Clarkson, and, if I get in, Tufts.
come to RIT and freeze your balls off with me
Major in underwater basket weaving.
I've applied and been accepted to math, mathematical physics, computer science, and biomedical at University of Waterloo. Can't decide which to go with though.

I never understood why the American education system and the British one are so different, I'll in college in the UK yet they're not as high in the education system as American colleges. It confuses the hell out of me.
I'm going back to school in a few years, I'll probably go to University at Albany, and figure it out from there.
Go to WPI and we can hang hahah
If you go to any college for mechanical/aerospace, make sure to see if they have Formula SAE team. It's by far the best way to learn about engineering.
I got into Vanderbilt Engineering yeaaaaa
I want to get into teaching. I don't know if that's a smart idea though.
ohohoh if you get into a UC have fun paying out the ass for being a non-California resident.
I'm going to go to UC Davis and major in Physics. I hope the crowbar is included
I'm planning on majoring in education with a minor in history at Edinboro University of Pennsylvania.
Go to WPI and we can hang hahah
Worcester poly tech?
Worcester poly tech?
Yupp haha
Worcester poly tech?
Heh one of my friends goes there.
I'm about to finish my second semester in college. I'm an art major at the University of West Georgia. If I've learned one thing from college thus far, it's that procrastination is like cancer. It'll creep up on you and kill you. Metaphorically, of course.
Could have gone to: Virginia Tech, JMU What I did: Went to a Local Tech college, applied myself into computers What I got: An awesome job, they will pay for my bachelors and huge room for growth. My advice is go to a CC for the first 2 years, get your GPA up transfer to a big name college and finish with a high GPA and less bills
You learn stuff there
Major: Computer Engineering Applied to these: [del]UC Berkeley UCLA[/del] UC Davis UC Santa Barbara UC Irvine Cal Poly (San Luis Obispo) Cal Poly (Pomona) San Francisco State University University of the Pacific Strike = Didn't get in Underline = I got in Bold = Would actually accept the admission from I wanted to go to UCB SO badly, I'm really disappointed I didn't get in. :smith: Now I just have to decide between Davis and Cal Poly. :sigh:
I was interested in Cal Poly but in the end I didn't want to go out of state, I'm going to University of Kansas with tuition completely paid for through merit aid from the school alone.
You learn stuff there
Nah, you're just paying for a piece of paper and an opportunity to walk around a really fancy old building hung over

Probably just gonna go to the local community cold :sigh:
Iunno looks like a crowbar in them there equations to me.
Yeah there's seven on that page alone
at community college at the moment. transferring to dubuque pilot school following the semester. gotta get scholarships for that 50k a year bill
Finishing up tech school, heading to community college next year, then to an actual college the year after that.
Graduating soon, going to MSJC for general ed (and possibly pre-reqs), then transferring to UCLA or Cal Poly Pomona, depending on if I want to do Acting/Directing or Engineering/Architecture.
