My only real worry from this trailer is they might push some sort of 'Consumers are the real zombies' narrative in there and that'd be so unfitting and out of place it'd be ridiculous.
The first game was set in a mall too. It's kinda the point.
And the second game was in a massive casino. The narrative is thicker than cheese.

I think the whole consumerism zombie thing has been thoroughly played out, and if the game is hamfisting yet another iteration of this same message it's gonna fall flat in several areas of the game. I really hope they put a different spin on it, but at this point I feel the devs are gonna have a bitch of a time coming up with a fresh take on zombies. I only really played the first game, and I feel that what really sold it for me was that the whole zombie symbolism thing weren't that prominent. Yeah, it was set in a mall, but the focus of the game was more or less just silly fun with a npc horde system that you could literally mow down in imaginative and cathartic ways without that pesky moral qualm that comes with dispatching thinking beings Just my two cents on the matter
I'm hoping it is a holiday/Christmas theme setting. HOLIDAY ZOMBIE KILLING YES

Willamette Mall wasn't overrun until an old lady removed a barricade and let the zombies in because she was so absorbed with her poodle that was already zombified (and not in any real danger).
You do realize that the poodle aint a zombie? The zombies just don't notice it at first.
or its like a bunch of zombie movies where the zombies arent interested in animals, only peoples
You do realize that the poodle aint a zombie? The zombies just don't notice it at first.
I wrongly assumed Madonna was zombified because of her being an enemy in Chop Till You Drop. My bad.
I wrongly assumed Madonna was zombified because of her being an enemy in Chop Till You Drop. My bad.
we dont talk about Chop Til You Drop
or its like a bunch of zombie movies where the zombies arent interested in animals, only peoples
I was gonna make that point as well but you kinda hear a sequel at the end which implies it also gets eaten.
I was gonna make that point as well but you kinda hear a sequel at the end which implies it also gets eaten.
pretty sure the zombies are uninterested in animals there was also no "squeal", just madonna's high-pitched barking as she watched her owner getting eaten
we dont talk about Chop Til You Drop
You mean Resident Evil 4: Dead Rising Edition? :v:
