Absolutely beautiful direction, perfectly pulled off. I'm not even a fan of the Witcher series but this cinematic impresses me to no end.
Did that bird just shoot through a mans skull?

Yep.
The world of witchers is prob. darker than the world of crusaders.
Did that bird just shoot through a mans skull?
It was a particularly ambitious bird.
I don't think I've ever seen medieval warfare done any cooler than in the Witcher.
Is there a raw download available anywhere? This youtube compression is incredibly bad.

Ynnefr is not one to fuck with.
men may rule the kingdoms, but women rule the world.
For people that haven't read the books/played the games, here's what's going on. Nilfgaard invades north, yeneffer is there for some reason, she is Geralt's main bitch (triss is his side bitch), he is trying to trace and find her. Yeneffer might be looking for ciri, geralt's adopted daughter aka the girl with Ashen hair.
This and MGS IV have the best trailer music.
Looks fantastic.
Yennefer seems to have gotten some more features added to her character visuals, and that music is very interesting. As with the previous trailer, I like how this proves you actually can make photorealism-aimed CGI that looks good, it's not always necessary stylize it heavily out of fear of dropping into the uncanny valley.
Aw man, I want to watch the trailer, however I haven't beaten the second game yet because I'm still reading the books.
Does this spoil anything?

Nothing really. How far are you?

In the Witcher 2 I'm still doing some tasks for people in the first town you go to (I finished the castle siege introduction)
As far as the books I'm about 1/3rd done "The Time of Contempt". After this one, I have 3 more books left to go AFAIK.

Yeah, the trailer doesn't spoil anything really. You might not have any idea of what's going on, but it's still incredibly well made.
Jesus Geralt looks old
I'm slogging myself through the first game as I've never gotten round to playing it. Vizima felt like it took forever, but I think I've nearly finished that chapter.
I heard that a lot of people didn't like the first game
I don't know why, but I wasn't one of them.
I really got into the story and liked the way the combat worked. Like comboing the sword attacks and the styles of fighting.
Vizima is always a part of the game. You spend a large chunk in one section, later you go to the richer end, and then later on in the game you come back to the city for a brief while (and "new" areas)

I liked the first game a lot too, but I have a feeling that Act 2 probably curbed a lot of peoples enthusiasm.

At first I thought the swamp was hard as fuck with all the kikimores and drowners and all the other stuff I couldn't see
Then I thought it was annoying when you had to keep going back and forth through it.
Then I realized I didn't have to fight everything I saw and was enlightened knowing I could run through the majority of the swamp unharmed 99% of the time.

yeah didn't a bunch of women [sp]overthrow some magic unisex council and replace it with some all female council?[/sp]
yep.
I'd like to roughly 100% the first two games to prepare for the third, I've yet to play more than 30minutes of each.

If you couldn't muster the will power the first 2 times, how could you the third?
Read the books before hand. There's like 7 but each are small and <300 pages each. It may help you 'get into' the story

Act 2 is my favorite. For some reason, I love slums in games. I don't know why.

I felt the combat was barely average at best and some of the quests dragged on a bit when it had you running back and forth through the same areas, but by then the writing and music had really grabbed me and it became easy to look past the repetition when you were itching to reveal the next bit of story or game world lore.

Exactly what I had. Pretty soon after starting the game you will realise the combat in the first game just isn´t that great but the story and the characters are what kept me going(and kept me entertained)

I kind of liked the first game as well, but every time you get to a new chapter I just kind of lose interest for some reason.
Never managed to beat it, only ever got to the 4th chapter.
Hype.
If I wasn't already.
To be honest I'd always thought Yennefer should be a tad more shapely, I've only read the books though.. this makes her look like some sort of Hollywood bad ass sidekick chick.
Instead of the goddess that smells of lilac and gooseberry the books make her seem to be.
