I don't care what anyone thinks, I actually want this game.

I've never played WoW, so even though people keep saying its a WoW clone like its a bad thing, I'm still going to get this game.
Combat mechanics may be a little similar but it's nothing like WoW.
i dont see why i would want to play the game. what about that trailer was supposed to encourage me, the intro cinematic?
i obviously cant say anything about the game itself because i haven't played it, but that combat looked horrid from where im sitting.
Not sure how a CG trailer would do anything. Search on YouTube for gameplay videos.
I'm liking this so far. It's nice to see some actual gameplay after all of the pre-rendered stuff.
I'm on the fence about this, it seems like what they're doing with the quests is pretty awesome in that they're actually engaging rather than just go kill 15 bears or something. But at the same time I haven't seen enough to determine that its not just another WoW clone. With most MMO's combat always looks like shit, its the mechanics that actually make it entertaining.
Day one purchase for me, but i still don't know what the fuck i want to play, they did a really good job on making the non jedi/sith classes be as cool as them hopefully when the games out it wont be 95% saber users.
im probably going to play a smuggler on the republic or an imp agent on the empire fo sho!

Everyone says every MMORPG is a wow clone, They think MMORPG=wow clone. Wow wasn't the first to use the system they use. The only recent game that was a WoW clone was RIFT.

It's still using the special abilities-attack style system, but the game is going to be based more around a story rather then go here, find this, go there, kill that, come back to main quest guy, 500 gold and a sparkly new weapon. It's heavily story based, which is cool.
WoW is imo the best MMO game still
i don't even play it anymore but i've played it and needless to say it's very good mmo. and i've seen a lot of it, the pve is awesome, so is pvp in its many forms, leveling through new expansions 1-2 times is cool etc.
problem with wow is pretty much like i've just logged off it for now.................its full of retards! queue for heroics and there's seriously just idiots everywhere then apart from that there's nothing to do so it's boring.
im just biding my time for SWTOR and GW2
Lighthaber ON!
WoW clone.
For example: Classes with a specific role to fulfill, instead of having either no classes or versatile classes.
Click and wait combat.
Quests: "Go out and kill a bunch of this" or "Dude, you gotta help out with the war, you're so important to the war effort!" Yet the game stays the same.
Any great MMO has player control over the world. Not just thousands of people running around with a stagnant story/ game world.
Yea sure theres a story, but I guarantee you that when you finish your "story" the game world will remain the same. You did not and cannot change anything.
However in games like SWG Pre-CU and Face of Mankind, the players can and do change the world and that is why they are good.
fucking sucks D:
i wish it didnt
Instead of declaring THIS KotOR 3, I wish they would've made this and allowed Obsidian to make KotOR 3.
Is there a clip where the people being interviewed say negative things?

Classes make it a WoW clone? You realize there were games before WoW that did that, so WoW is a clone of those?
It's not click and wait combat, there is no auto attacking. All the attacks are done with skills.
It definitely fails at the presentation we were expecting (Epic Kotor-style story with Mmorpg elements), looks more like a WoW-style Clone Wars Mmo that has a nowhere nearly as an epic story (The dialogue and quests seem quite underwhelming).
To put it simply, I would like to believe that most fans were hoping for Kotor that had the complexity of EVE with a damn good story, this honestly looks like a cheesy free-to-play WoW clone.
EDIT
I'm actually disappointed they went with this art style. It looks too cartoony and silly for a "deeply emotional" story driven Mmorpg. Kotor had a fantastic style that was refreshingly new to Star Wars and still looked realistic with a bit of grit, but ofcourse the chosen art style will probably get the kids who watch Clone Wars interested.... ugh
The CGI trailer was definitely cool, but it tells you absolutely nothing about the game.

That's because they are just there to create hype. And it works.
Blur Studios is like the best
I see it like this i will probably find enjoyment for the money i put in, i could probably get to max lvl in 1 month and experience all the fun stuff with the story and if it isn't fun endgame i'll just play GW2
This thread = People calling this game a WoW clone yet they have never played WoW or haven't played it in years.
It is NOT a clone, but it still does not look good enough to shake a fist at WoW.
This just is:
Hotbar buttoned based third person style will always be the 'go to' for any MMO ever in the history of forever. It just works. Quit complaining about 'clones'.
God that's like saying Halo is a Battlefield clone because it's in first person and you shoot guns with bullets.
I will play this, but it doesn't really offer that much that other MMO's don't have. I would love it if it had housing or something like that like SWG had.
You don't get a house. You get a spaceship.
I hate it when people blather on about how bad WoW is when they have probably never played it. It's an enjoyable experience as long as you don't go overboard which applies to every game. People who are essentially Video Game Hipsters like to hate on it for being popular.
The one thing I don't like about Star Wars RPGs is that they never look like they've been made by people who've actually seen and are fans of Star Wars.

Which you cannot decorate or do much except walk around in and interact with a few things. No space PVP or free-roaming flying either. Just on rails.
