Ukrainian military rotation has taken place in Donetsk airport. 50 soldiers will replace 49 that were fighting in the airport region for a few months. The rebels searched the ukrainian convoy (each soldier was allowed to have only one AK rifle and a spare mag for it, all ammo has to be in ammo boxes). This is the fifth rotation taking place in the airport region. Earlier, 23 of December, the rebels opened a corridor for 48 Ukraine army soldiers to leave the battlefield. In the Christmas (orthodox christmas) eve soldiers and rebels exchanged presents: the rebels presented MRE's, the soldiers presented a bag of sweets.
Source in Russian
Chilling resemblance to the Great War
That's beautiful guys. Knowing this wanted me to hug someone.
Wait, I forgot, is the Ukraine conflict still shooty, or did the truce that failed like, ten times finally hold?

I love it when people are honourable during times of war. They could of easily taken advantage of the transfer to take the airport.

Its always good to see these things happen.
I am of the opinion that, left completely to their own devices, humanity gravitates towards peace. Craves it, seeks it. The greatest evil of all was not religion nor ideology, money nor military - it was the first man who convinced his fellows that peace grows from the blood of men.

And you know how it went from there...

Can't wait for the Sainsburys advert.
So, was baby jesus born on 25 december or was it 7 january?
On the other hand nothing pushes progress as far as war does. On the other hand a lot of shit wouldn't have went down if we weren't so bloodthirsty a lot of the time.
We certainly need more shit like this. To remind people on both sides that we are similar, unlike what politicians say.
So, was baby jesus born on 25 december or was it 7 january?
AFAIK it's not known for sure
On the other hand nothing pushes progress as far as war does. Maybe we would still be cavemen if that one guy didn't hit the other guy.
What? No. Capitalism. Capitalism pushes progress. People wanting shit and trading the shit they have for other shit they don't have pushes progress. War only pushes progress in the indirect sense that everyone desires security, and the best way to achieve it is through technological superiority. It's fucking inefficient to build better tanks if you're trying to make the world a better place. If you want more progress, don't build tanks, build schools and a functional economy.
AFAIK it's not known for sure
Didn't the shepherds lay in the fields during the night jesus was born? If so, wouldn't it be most unlikely they do so in the middle of winter, even in Judea? Correct me if I'm wrong.
