War path is probably going to be intense.
War path is a really smart idea. In a game pretty much about movement while shooting, they made a gamemode to motivate movement while shooting.
Very curious about the content creation as well, allows you to create maps and gamemodes with AI support.
Am I the only one who is REALLY not liking the designs they've gone with for the MP armor? I'm not trying to be that guy bitching about it looking too much like Halo either -- the armor legitimately looks stupid. [editline].[/editline] Why not just have colored variants of the SP marine armor?

Though I am personally ok with it as I find Halo armor quite cool and it works for me here too.

Warpath looks like fun, and Freeze tag looks interesting. Just so long the entire team doesn't bunch up to get frozen all at once. I'm starting to dig the variety in the armor designs, and the sync kill in there reminds me of Killzone 3's melee kills that I liked before they became really glitch-y.

When you have a good amount of other gamemodes where you blow people apart and do flashy finisher kills, just freezing your enemies in place sounds boring.

Freezetag seems like something that would work well for 24 - 32 players, but not 12 now that I think about it.

While I like the looks of Warpath, [DEL]I want a [B]KING OF THE HILL[/B] mode. But, it's still similar except the "Hill" moves around.[/DEL] Holy shit nvm, there is Domination they only showed it for a split second, which is KotH in essence. I loved that shit to no end in TF2.

It's easier to coordinate an attack to freeze the entire enemy team when there's only 4-6 of you on a team rather then trying to get 16 people spread out across the maps - at that point it's just luck if your team freezes them all at the same time
I hate that Team Deathmatch and Clan Arena will probably take these over because Freeze Tag and Warpath are pretty cool. I also hate that Snapmap is 4 players only so you can't really go overboard with competitive maps that throw crazy shit at you.

Speaking of weapons, again they're using the Grenade Launcher-modded Shotgun here and its blasts are killing in one shot each, so I have to wonder how much health bullshitting they did to make it look cooler than usual and how weapon mods are going to work in MP
I was hoping it would be a bit more fleshed out, but ever since the alpha got leaked on 4chan it just feels like Halo Extreme gore edition. I know you guys all wanted Halo on PC and all, but I was hoping to keep Doom as Doom. It's slow, the weapons all sound weak as shit, the armor designs are ripped straight from Halo 3, best thing I can say about it is that the level design is decent and uses neat things like launch pads. I just hope that the mod support gets expanded upon later down the line so I can get an actually good doom experience out of this.

The only way it could be considered slow is if you're used to the Quake 3 professional scene and think anything else is slow
For some reason, I keep looking at this like "Halo meets Unreal Tournament 2k4". Which is not a bad thing imo, but just strange to see it in the Doom series

What better way to do that then to bring elements of one of the most popular, and personally one of the best FPS games of all time, even if it is just the art design?
