I have a few questions to ask all you fitness gurus. Right now I'm 153 lbs, and 5'5. From the side I look like this: A little bit of an exaggeration I don't have a working camera ATM, so yeah. Basically I want to know is: 1.Will Weight lifting help burn away the fat better than cardio? 2.Should I still do cardio along with weight lifting? 3.Will weight lifting help improve my posture? 4.What does a good schedule look like? 5.Is Optimum 100% a good Protein supplement? 6.Is Kre-Alkalyn bad to take if your 16? 7.Will Weight lifting aid in height development? 8.When are you supposed to take protein for optimal results? 9.Would I need to up my caloric intake from 1400 a day? 10.When is the best time to work out?
Basically I want to know is: 1.Will Weight lifting help burn away the fat better than cardio? if your diets fucked then either one wont make a dent 2.Should I still do cardio along with weight lifting? for improved recovery, macro partitioning and other stuff sure, medium intensity jogging for 20-30 mins is good[/b[ 3.Will weight lifting help improve my posture? yes 4.What does a good schedule look like? something along the lines of starting strength or westside 5.Is Optimum 100% a good Protein supplement? i would rather you get protein from food 6.Is Kre-Alkalyn bad to take if your 16? im assuming thats some "super xtreeme good version of creatine, its probably retarded 7.Will Weight lifting aid in height development? not really 8.When are you supposed to take protein for optimal results? any time , eat it all day 9.Would I need to up my caloric intake from 1400 a day? if your goal is to gain muscle then yes eat ~3000 calories 10.When is the best time to work out? when ever you feel like it
Out of curiosity, why do you say not right after getting up?
Doesn't really matter. It has logic behind it, but it doesn't really matter. I know enough that disregard that fact, and are huge. Body adjusts to whatever you put him through.
My goal is to loose body fat and put on muscle.
you can forget about any major muscle gains ( if any ) while losing fat at your height/weight. focus on cutting down to you can kinda sorta see your abs ( just a general rule) and then bulk
Out of curiosity, why do you say not right after getting up?
cba to find the study right now but I have read multiple ones that show significant improvement in gains working out not right after waking up as compared to right after waking up
cba to find the study right now but I have read multiple ones that show significant improvement in gains working out not right after waking up as compared to right after waking up
iirc its related to hydration when speaking physically
you can forget about any major muscle gains ( if any ) while losing fat at your height/weight. focus on cutting down to you can kinda sorta see your abs ( just a general rule) and then bulk
So, first loose fat and then weight lift?
So, first loose fat and then weight lift?
yeah eat ~1500 calories and ~100g protein. and dont do tomuch cardio or weights
yeah eat ~1500 calories and ~100g protein. and dont do tomuch cardio or weights
Why not to much cardio? 30 minutes a day 5 days a week, 6km a session is what I'm trying to do.
You'll lose muscle.
You'll lose muscle.
Ok, but 6.5k a day 5 days a week isn't too much right?
You'll lose muscle.
not at all , it has to do with hormones and the mechanisms of fat cells that can slow fat loss / stall it [editline]22nd March 2011[/editline]
Ok, but 6.5k a day 5 days a week isn't too much right?
it is
not at all , it has to do with hormones and the mechanisms of fat cells that can slow fat loss / stall it [editline]22nd March 2011[/editline] it is
What
What
i dont see how anything i posted there isnt easily understandable
i dont see how anything i posted there isnt easily understandable
I do, I've never heard that running allot makes you not loose weight.
I do, I've never heard that running allot makes you not loose weight.
low energy availibility makes your body p much freak out , and then theres hormones and other stuff. i dont like going in detail ,just take it at my word, try 2x a week instead of 5x

Who said anything about low energy, I run late, and then get lots of sleep. Never got sore from it, never felt tired the next day either.
