Article Title: Trump attacks Washington Post, Amazon over 'internet taxes'
WASHINGTON -- U.S. President Donald Trump attacked The Washington Post and Amazon on Twitter Wednesday, arguing that the online retailer was not paying "internet taxes."
Trump stated on Twitter Wednesday: "The #AmazonWashingtonPost, sometimes referred to as the guardian of Amazon not paying internet taxes (which they should) is FAKE NEWS!"
It was not immediately clear what Trump meant by "internet taxes." The White House declined to answer questions about the president's statement.

Amazon CEO Jeff Bezos bought the Washington Post in 2013. He made the purchase as an individual and Amazon.com Inc. was not involved.
Amazon.com collects state sales taxes in all 45 states with a sales tax and the District of Columbia, according to their website. State governments have sought to capture sales taxes lost to internet retailers, though they have struggled with a 1992 Supreme Court ruling that retailers must have a physical presence in a state before officials can make them collect sales tax.
Imagine how fucked internet taxes would be lmao
But amazon charges sales tax

amazon announced it:
March 29, 2017
experts are really fucking confused about this tweet
amazon doesn't even own the washington post so it doesn't make sense to attack amazon for a washington post article showing that trump is a fraud
amazon pays state sales taxes already so it's dumb to attack them for not paying "internet taxes" assuming he meant sale taxes
the only thing related to "doesn't pay taxes" and "amazon" is the fact that third-party vendors using amazon as a middleman are immune from state taxes, which some state lawmakers are in the process of writing laws for

What do you want to bet like, in that thread, none of his supporters will try to defend this? Do they just ignore it from the title or brush it off as fake? This is ridiculous for anyone, let alone a leader.

Jeff Bezos owns part of washington post, who created amazon. thats the connection.
he doesnt own amazon anymore tho (16.9% of shares) so
The wording in that tweet is seriously fucked up.
How are Amazon and the Washington Post even connected in anyway? Which one is considered to be "the guardian of Amazon"? What are internet taxes? And is he saying that Amazon/Washington Post NOT paying internet tax is fake news? So wouldn't it be a good thing if them not paying is fake news because that would mean they are paying?

And trump doesn't pay his taxes as far as rumors go
oh...
I'm pretty sure they pay for thier internet. You kinda need that to function as an online retailer.
Complaints about people who don't pay taxes? That's rich coming from him
And trump doesn't pay his taxes as far as rumors go
oh...
Didn't he brag about how not paying taxes just meant he was a clever businessman?
Lock him... up...?
I don't know how you can read that and not think the president is a little out of it.
Complaints about people who don't pay taxes? That's rich coming from him
He's projecting, as usual.
i'm dumbfounded every time this dumb fuck tweets.
he is supposed to be the leader of the free world, this guy is a fucking chump.
I've heard people say that tweets like these are meant to be a "distraction", like it's intentional. Same with "Covfefe". The problem is that even if it is intentional, it just comes across like he's demented anyway. This isn't making me think less of the other controversies, it just piles on top of them as "This man is not fit for office".

I'm kind of sad we don't have a Trump Defense Force because I really would love to see the mental gymnastics they'd have to use to consistently defend his ramblings.
who refers to the washington post as "the guardian of amazon"? is this one of those ancient aliens things where everything is punctuated with "some say... some believe..." instead of explaining how its just one guy trying to make shit up

It's just a matter of what Breitbart article he just read, or what TV show he just watched, to understand what he meant.
Usually I can comprehend Trump tweets to some extent, but this actually looks like it's been done by Trump tweet generator. I feel like I'm having a stroke trying to read this.
amazon vs. trump
who released their tax information

Makes me wonder if he's a child born out of wedlock between his mother and an undocumented immigrant from Mexico who practices Islam.

This sums up trumps political career so far

Can't forget that.
And that's just the host we're talking about. The blonde cranial parasite, though? I could write a BOOK about that thing.
My first instinct was "oh god he wants to implement an internet tax".
My first instinct was "oh god he wants to implement an internet tax".
Won't be surprised if he does, either. He'll probably notice there isn't an internet tax, and to save himself from looking dumb he will implement one.
imagine if trump ever paid his proper taxes in his fucking corrupt piece of shit existence.
imagine if trump ever paid his proper taxes in his fucking corrupt piece of shit existence.
THAT MAKES ME SMART. THE SMARTEST. IM NOT SAYING I DONT PAY MY TAXES, BUT IF I DID, IT WOULD MAKE ME THE BIGGEST BRAIN, WHICH I AM.
