So, I'm learning to drive and my dad told me to drive here, and we walked around and took pics. Didn't go too far inside, since well one, cops, and two the place is literally falling in on itself. By the way, all pictures are in thumbs, they're high res by default. Interesting place, nice pics too. Has a military-style/Pre-1970's type architecture in some parts.

I'd be too god damn scared to ever go inside, but I have a pic of one of the vents. [img_thumb]http://dl.dropbox.com/u/6643010/camera/IMG-20111016-00320.jpg[/img_thumb] My dad has attempted to go down into the tunnels before (About 6 years ago, when the place had just closed up), but they go so far down, you could probably survive a nuclear impact if you're in one of them, given the tunnels being structurally sound, which they aren't. Bonus content! [img_thumb]http://dl.dropbox.com/u/6643010/camera/IMG-20111016-00314.jpg[/img_thumb] There's tons of shit laying around hospital related, and enough copper around here to get you set up pretty nicely. Apparently they facility was used to house mental patients which explains the design (Wiki). Most armories, police stations, prisons, mental facilities, ect... from the era had the same general external design and architecture. Reinforced window frames, yards (the area inside the complex), brick construction, some what ornate, ect... the military used that type of design and architecture until the 60's/70's when it started building more so towards nuclear conflict survival. For example: Whitehall National Guard Armory: Saratoga Springs National Guard Armory: Glens Falls Armory: Juliet Correctional Facility:
