I actually base some of my game buying decisions partially off of these updates. It shows how much care/effort goes into them.
This does not make me want to buy.

So you don't want to buy the game because Obsidian can't write good patch notes?
where's the "We fixed the bullshit glitches and horrible performance issues due to this shitty engine that for some people keep using" patch
So you don't want to buy the game because Obsidian can't write good patch notes?
learn to read, he didn't want to buy the game because of the important stuff not being released until now
[editline]21st October 2010[/editline]
and that it shows little effort by the developers
This is why you don't let Obsidian continue your rpg's.
Are they going to release a patch that makes my friends gtx 260 get more than 5 fps on the lowest settings any time soon?

They've already got everyone's $60 who bought it. Doesn't this show they do give a shit, by releasing an update 3 days after release?

usually when there's updates so soon after the release it means something went bad
I've been wondering if my spiked knuckles and their ability to obliterate everything at 40 Unarmed is a bug.
Seriously, I can take down a fucking deathclaw in 2 hits.
Oh thank god saving is fixed. I had to start over because the shit broke. I ended up losing 15 hours.
Finally.
If you do get this game, I would advise not on disc used. That was fatal with some people I knew with FO3. If the disc is in bad condition on the data read side, I have had issues on more then one system.
I love this game. Thank god they fixed autosaving. My game's wouldn't load autosaves properly so I relied on my own saving. Needless to say, 5 hours of plot was lost as I was tired.

That's funny because I only paid $50.
Am I the only one who gets the feeling that the game was released broken to screw over pirates? I mean, there's no way a company would release a product internationally without testing it thoroughly.

If so, that is the dumbest thing I've ever heard of. Screw over your customers, as well as givethe game a bad reputation.
*taps foot* Where the FUCK IS MY PS3 UPDATE GOD DAMNIT!?
/c
Fix the freezing for fuck's sake, I can't play for an hour without having to shut down the damn game.

that's an interesting theory, but it would also be a very very dumb decision
I've noticed a lot of glitches/bugs, but claiming that the developers don't give a shit is pretty messed up. I guarantee they were pretty disappointed at the amount of problems that weren't fixed by launch.
I don't know how their whole publishing situation works, but often (especially if you're dealing with consoles) you won't be able to push back the launch date.
Thank god, but i'm starting the game again because i'm set back 3 hours and dont have a clue were I am.

In the post you will say they say there's over 200 fixes, I really wish they would log them in full detail. I am also glad to see that they're working on a fix for the Nvidia GTX 400 series graphics cards, the flickering is rather annoying.
It's a Gamebryo game. The engine breeds bugs. Give them a little leeway.

i'm sorry sir but you seem to be a fucking idiot
A game as big as Fallout, bugs are more than expected.
It's not fucking hard to fix bugs before releasing a game. It's really not.
My game hasn't crashed once, and I haven't had any problem with savegames, or FPS lag...

Same here. But then, most people with ATI cards haven't had any problems. It is namely Nvidia Cards that have trouble playing.
