A while back in a thread I had that there was going to be a Machinima series centered around the new line of figures. Turns out that the show is going to be previewed at this years New York Comic Con. Not only that, the creators have also been revealed. The names of the project leads are as follows: Eric J. Calderon of Afro Samurai and Beavis and Butthead Do America fame, F.J. DeSanto for a project called Cyborg 009, and Megas XLR creator and 2008 Star Wars: The Clone Wars writer George Krstic. [t]http://news.tfw2005.com/wp-content/uploads/sites/10/2015/09/Transformers-Combiner-Wars-Machinima-Animated-Series.jpg[/t] [T]http://news.tfw2005.com/wp-content/uploads/sites/10/2015/09/Transformers-Combiner-Wars-Machinima-Hasbro-Animated-Series.jpg[/T] A panel hosted by Hasbro will feature the Transformers: Generations line along with the contributors from IDW, Activision and Machinima. •Panel Name: Transformers: Generations •Date & Time: Thursday, October 8 | 8:00 PM •Location: New York Comic Con – Room 1A24 Sources: http://news.tfw2005.com/2015/09/21/transformers-combiner-wars-animated-digital-series-creators-revealed-301653 http://news.tfw2005.com/2015/09/07/transformers-generations-combiner-wars-animated-series-sneak-peek-to-debut-at-new-york-comic-con-2015-300967 Thoughts: This will either be the best thing that's happened to the franchise since Transformers Prime, or the most "Meh" thing since Transformers Armada.
I'm going to assume that'd be the weird recent Cyborg 009 comic book for DeSanto, because Cyborg 009 is an old manga with a handful of anime adaptations. Either way that's a hell of a lineup. Hopefully it results in something really cool.
Krstic is a true diamond. Fully understands you can make something for a younger audience but still make it compelling.

The series from what I can gather is gonna be based off the Combiner Wars toyline/comicbook story arc, where there was a large emphasis on combiners for both the Autobots and the Decepticons in a Cold War-like scenario to one up each other. In the comics though, it was the Autobots, a splinter group for the Decepticons, and [sp]Lord Starscream's own combiners.[/sp] All aboard the Astro-hype-train! :hypeisreal:
holy shiiit, i loved megas xlr, im hyped and ready.
So when do we get to see 'Pop TV' billboards being destroyed every episode?
So when do we get to see 'Pop TV' billboards being destroyed every episode?
Except for the one time you think it's coming and it doesn't.
What a time to be alive. I haven't watched all the works listed here, but I had my fun with Megas XLR and Clone Wars. I'm sure something really good will come out of this.
So when do we get to see 'Pop TV' billboards being destroyed every episode?
If they're gonna go all the way, they BETTER destroy a DMV building.
Thoughts: This will either be the best thing that's happened to the franchise since Transformers Prime, or the most "Meh" thing since Transformers Armada.
Armada was bad? I thought the general consensus was the new ones (how is called, New Generations? Animated?) was the one being "meh".
Armada was bad? I thought the general consensus was the new ones (how is called, New Generations? Animated?) was the one being "meh".
Animated actually got high reception. IDK about Prime or the new RID though.
Animated actually got high reception. IDK about Prime or the new RID though.
Prime is great, but RiD is "meh" because it's a sequel to Prime that's generally lighter and more geared towards the younger audience. This is bad because it's predecessor contained some of the darkest themes of the franchise and kept the cast numbers to a minimum of five bots for each side. Honestly it's best to pick your favorite and yeast favorite and stick with it, because it's REALLY mixed in the fandom. This is the fandom where any sort of change to Prime's looks will start riots on the internet.
Haven't seen the new RiD, but the old RiD was awesome. Two words. Train Autobots.
Transformers is fucking dumb, i need more of it.
Haven't seen the new RiD, but the old RiD was awesome. Two words. Train Autobots.
Never saw it, but I read one page about some woman on the show that keeps getting her car wrecked in almost ever episode. It's not "My Cabbages!!" catchy, but still funny at the thought about it.
i loved prime but like... why don't they bring animated back? it got so well received that it made no sense to cancel it.
i loved prime but like... why don't they bring animated back? it got so well received that it made no sense to cancel it.
It was supposed to have a season 4 (with MINICONS) but they had problems with Cartoon Network IIRC.

Depended where you lived. In the US, it was on Cartoon Network.
