He was in the original Dragon Ball Manga, so he is a Toriyama Creation as far as I am aware, so I doubt he'll go away.

Oh no. There's either alternate gods besides Beerus and his handler Whis (obviously), or parallel dimension/timeline stuff considering how mirror-like the two in the thumbnail seem almost.

The idea that more than just Beerus are this egyptian-cat style gods of the universe thing is.. baffling considering the series' character variety. Saiyans aside.

Dragon Ball GT is the best Dragon Ball series out of every Dragon Ball series and movie. It's difficult to beat but I'm sure Dragon Ball Super will give it a good attempt. Unfortunately it will not succeed but I will still watch.

Actually only the manga is canon as confirmed by Akira Toriyama, exception is the OVA's and Battle of The Gods. Every once in a while he'll state something else than not part of the manga to be canon, but for the most part it's just the original manga that is.

So GT was never canon to begin with, even though Toriyama admitted he did love GT

And i'm assume redoing the BOG and ROF storylines is fine with me. It'll give them a chance to not make the Gods so much better than Goku and Vegeta. That being said, I hope Vegeta still gets to kick Beerus around for a good minute like in BOG. That scene was pivotal for Vegeta as a character. The Gods dont need to completely embarass Goku and Vegeta for the writers to show just how powerful they are.
