I made a bong (vase) in pottery class but because we were under strict guidance on how to make it, I wasn't able to make the hole for the stem. How should I go about making the hole? I'm assuming a power drill would crack the vase, considering it's ceramic. Would a chisel or ice pick do well in chipping a hole?
Is it really worth it? Some hideas don't stick. Invest in a decent bong
For the time being I'd like to make a ceramic bong. What's a hideas
sound it out, you passed 1st grade didn't you?
I can sound it out, I don't know what the fuck it is.
Yeah, when I made one in cramic class I just make it very scored for a hole and made thearea for a hole thin. If I were you I'd just use a drill or pick at it. Have you fired it yet in glaze? I'm assuming not. Just carefully clissil away at it. I don't see how your going to glaze it and have your teacher fire it looking like a bong though..
Yeah it's fired. She had no problem with it because it was based off of another vase that I found, which so happened to have the shape of a bong. I'll probably just go with an ice pick.
Glaze it and drill slowly.
