No objections – Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney trilogy coming to Android
Unless you’ve been living under a rock for the last ten years,
odds are pretty good that you’ve heard of Capcom’s ultra-
successful Ace Attorney series of detective/lawyer games for
the Nintendo DS. Good news, legal eagles: the first three games
in the series will soon be gracing your Android phone or tablet.
The three titles will be made available on the Android Market.
Developer Capcom didn’t say when the games would be made
available, but they’ll cost 600 yen each or 1200 yen for the
whole set – that’s about $8 and $16 in US currency. Only
Japanese versions are confirmed at the moment, but the series
has done very well in the US and Europe, so expect
a localized release at some point.
The Ace Attorney series started with Ace Attorney: Phoenix
Wright on the Game Boy Advance back in 2001, with Nintendo
DS ports making it a hit worldwide. The basic gameplay is in
the style of point-and-click adventure, where Phoenix must
defend his clients in the courtroom and find evidence of their
innocence to identify the real culprit. The anime-style
characters and over-the-top humor (there’s a detective
character whose name is, no joke, Dick Gumshoe) have made it
popular with children, while the mystery element makes it
enjoyable for adults as well. The smartphone and tablet
versions will have updated high-resolution graphics of the
original sprites.
Capcom has been admirably supporting Android for some time
now, though with high-profile releases like Street Fighter 4 and
Resident Evil 4, LG seems to have an exclusive stranglehold on
its titles. Unfortunately, if the developer’s pattern continues,
we’ll see the Ace Attorney games show up on Android months
later than iOS and limited to devices sold by the highest bidder.
I wish they’d take a hint from long-time rival Sega and release
their games for anyone willing to pay up.
It's coming to Android.
Good news. Also doesn't surprise me. Phones need more commercial games.

Capcom where is our localization of Ace Attorney Investigations 2
I'm guessing the new Ace Attorney is featuring Phoenix Wright
Unlikely, but my guess

If I remember correctly, the developers said that it was a mistake to switch to Apollo, so it might not be too unlikely.
The logo is using the colour of Phoenix Wright's logo (notice how apollo's is red, and edgeworth's is purple/pinkish) so I'm putting my bet on Phoenix. Of course if the logo was a placeholder, my logic falls apart.
Also, what happened with Apollo?
Nobody likes Apollo
I hope it won't be 3DS only
Fucking finally, I had this on my ipod and loved it. I've always hoped it would come to Android.

He got chords of steel!
As much as I hope that they'll all be localized, they still haven't released Trials and Tribulations and Justice for All on the American iTunes store. Maybe it'll be different for Android.
Will it be in the Amazon app store or just the Android one, I have the Kindle fire (which runs a heavily modified Android OS, and supports Android apps) But not all Android apps are in the Amazon store.

I liked Apollo.
Now we just need the other 2 on IOS and I would've played all the Phoenix Wright games
Fuck yeah, I've always wanted to try these games after hearing so much about them

No objections - Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney trilogy coming to Android

You could just root it and put the android market on it, unless you actually use the amazon services.

He was talking about localization. The trilogy is already available on iOS in Japan with the pixelated Nintendo DS sprite graphics (The ones that were just announced are "HD remasters" - they use full-resolution artwork rather than sprites.), and while Capcom localized the first one for the US App Store, they still haven't done the other two (despite them being as simple as copy and paste; they were already localized for Nintendo DS).
Capcom USA doesn't seem to think that this series is worth the trouble anymore; they already said outright that they have no plans to localize Ace Attorney Investigations 2 or Ace Attorney vs. Professor Layton. I'm honestly unsure if they'll even do Ace Attorney 5, the one just announced. You'd think that there would be hope for them to localize these remasters due to how easy it would be, but then why haven't they localized the non-HD ones?
I rejoiced when I heard the news. I assume we'll play as Phoenix considering what he says at the end of Apollo Justice about retaking the bar exam. I can't stop thinking about how incredible this game could be. Rumours spread about Phoenix becoming an attorney as a new massive case is bubbling up. Edgeworth immediately halts all investigations so that he can take on Phoenix once more. Everyone comes back to see the momentous occasion.
Too bad it will probably just feature phoenix being nervous about returning to the bar and winston payne making a hash of it.
I do like how, if phoenix does become an attorney again, it would fit in with the series' overarching theme of "turnabouts". He suffered the ultimate disgrace and has still managed to come back.
What if in this one you play as Mia? Like before her death and you play each of the trials after Wright's trial.
Hell knows if the new one will even be translated, Edgeworth Investigations 2 never came to the west.
