It seems that after the surprise success of a movie about sharks being sucked into tornadoes before attacking people, nothing is too ludicrous for Hollywood.
I mean, really?
this has the potential to be glorious
"They can't stop.. unless they devour your wood"
I'll watch it. Sharknado was insanely fun to watch with friends.
Sharknado was fucking hilarious, Zombeaver being the next Sharknado sounds fine with me.
Well, people complained about that everything is a reboot/remake/sequel. This is at least something new :v:

That trailer is the best goddamn thing :v:
why do people keep making quips about these movies having anything to do with hollywood? the asylum make really cheap schlocky d-grade movies, that is not hollywood. they're not even located inside hollywood.
I'm not going to lie, this looks genuinely interesting.
Though it being made by the producers of Cabin Fever, The Ring, We're the Millers and American Pie is puzzling at the least.
If I see this movie, I can die a happy man.
these movies are stupid because they're not actually trying. a bad movie is funny when there's the overt feeling of "these people honestly thought this was good enough to release". here they're just intentionally making a shitty movie with a gimmick title because people will flock to it in droves for the wackiness factor
[editline]8th February 2014[/editline]
it's an imitation bad movie, which is probably the worst kind of movie you could ever put out
[editline]8th February 2014[/editline]
actually, wait. asylum was known for making shitty knockoffs of good movies, and now they've come around to making shitty knockoffs of bad movies. that's meta
asylum films aren't funny anymore. when they realised they could make money out of making epic zainy bad films for idiot cracked.com generation it went down the drain. it's not funny when you're being deliberately bad

Well they're like right next to Hollywood. They're in Burbank. It's close enough that one could be forgiven for saying they're Hollywood movies.

I'd rather watch Sharknado than Transformers 2: Revenge of the Fallen any day.
I was hoping for a lot of sexual references in the trailer, and I got them.
This isn't by the asylum, guys.
So it's a ripoff of Asylum's ripoffs?
Also, beavers are adorable.

Agreed. The reason I love The Room, Pinata Survival Island, and Blue Demon so much is because they're "serious" movies. The commentary for Pinata makes it sound like they poured their heart and soul into it.
I miss the days when Syfy was actually good t.v, like Stargate and Battlestar Galactica. Now they just commission these crappy movies that are probably way more profitable than making quality t.v.
Though this probably isn't related to them I guess so I'll have to wait and pour my heart out about my once favorite channel some other time

What's wrong with Cracked? It's okay if you take what they say with a grain of salt.

I would watch this.
It would be terrifying

I miss Eureka.
In the distant future, when irony is little used and sarcasm is nearly dead, people are going to wonder what the hell was going on around now.
Gratuitous ass shots in the trailer, of course.

IIRC some of the people there who write the articles have stated in the past that the editors force clickbait titles
I remember seeing the Amazing Bulk. You know those videos you can find on youtube where someone tries way too hard to be funny by being unfunny, and actually succeeds at being unfunny? It's like that.
it was so unfunny they took down DudeGuyKT's video on it becuase he explained how unfunny it is.
IIRC some of the people there who write the articles have stated in the past that the editors force clickbait titles
i remember seeing a few articles that had a completely different, more accurate title in the URL than the title on the front page
I still refuse to believe that sharknado wasn't a joke and is actually a movie.
I still refuse to believe that sharknado wasn't a joke and is actually a movie.
but it WAS made as a joke, in a way
i mean, not as a parody, just as a "hey, people will think this is so ridiculous and over-the-top that we'll be raking in money" and it worked

then there was that limbo between stg and bsg era and the current shitty movie era where they created spin off shows with awesome ideas (like caprica, stargate atlantis) and just... ruined them. I can't describe it better than just "ruined". At least shitty syfy is better than "ruining your favorite series" syfy.
I mean come the fuck on, they turned caprica into a teenage drama and shit all over the reimagined BSG lore. I can't look at cylons now without thinking "there is an angsty, horny 16 year old inside that thing."
