Pretty damn good list if I do say so myself.
I really don't like this list... I can only see a few bands on here that I can honestly even say I like. Megadeth, Isis, Behemoth, Nile and Meshuggah.
Nice list of opinions bro.
all this sucks exept for maiden
all this sucks exept for maiden
You have no knowledge of metal [editline]07:25PM[/editline] Why isn't Reinventing the Steel here? It's a masterpiece.
Some of them I agree with. Blackwater Park is awesome, but I don't think it can be called the best metal album of the decade. I think no album can, because there's so much variety in the genre. The list is also missing some truly awesome albums. No Alcest? No Eluveitie? No Insomnium? Not even any Summoning. I call this a false list.

[editline]08:56PM[/editline]
Nice list of opinions bro.
I'd assume that it's a poll or something. People of the metal community can vote for their favourite album of the decade, and then they turned it into a list, most voted at the top.
Why isn't Reinventing the Steel here? It's a masterpiece.
This fucking baffles me.
I really don't like this list... I can only see a few bands on here that I can honestly even say I like. Megadeth, Isis, Behemoth, Nile and Meshuggah.
Uh. Iron Maiden?
Uh. Iron Maiden?
Also Iron Maiden and Cynic.
Where the fuck is Jane Doe?
At least Nevermore is up there. Nevermore being one of my favourite bands. Otherwise, this list is just... It's fine but there's so many different things that should be in there instead.
Cynic should be higher.
Nice list of opinions bro.
this
Where the fuck is Jane Doe?
Hardcore. Also, Porcupine Tree is nowhere near metal lol.

There is a disturbing lack of Sleep in this thread, I'm here to rectify this problem.
Fuck Opeth as #1.
What the fuck dude, where's Still Life? You have like 5 Opeth albums on there, and no Still Life?
Why isn't Reinventing the Steel here? It's a masterpiece.
I strongly agree, you have alot of explaining to do, penguin... :colbert:
This is so wrong, as music is subjective Good day
Good list, but some decisions should be swapped around.
No Lamb of God or As I Lay Dying? Fuck your obscure shit. :colbert:
Obscure shit is pretty much always better than the mainstream-ish stuff
Hardcore. Also, Porcupine Tree is nowhere near metal lol.
I think Converge is way more metal than Porcupine Tree.
What the fuck dude, where's Still Life? You have like 5 Opeth albums on there, and no Still Life?
Top 100 Metal Albums of the Decade Still Life Studio album by Opeth Released 18 October 1999 :v:
Just listened to Nevermore. Incredibly underwhelming... Boring even... Can't believe that took two places in the top five...
Just listened to Nevermore. Incredibly underwhelming... Boring even... Can't believe that took two places in the top five...
I don`t see how Nevermore is the least bit boring. Ever. At all...
nevermore are good but not deserving of the top 5, TWICE. Whereas Amorphis are fucking Gods and they didn't even get in the top 100 with any of their albums. Which is bullshit. One from each of their latest (and best) albums. Most of their songs are quite slow to start but once they get going, good god do they get going. Also play them loud, Tomi Joutsen's voice has such fucking astounding power.
