Continuing the trend of awesome trailers, Amplitude released this trailer to mark the launch of ES2. Apologies if this has already been posted.

If I saw this for the first time with no context, I wouldn't think this would be a trailer for a 4x game.

You're right, this is not what I expected from the launch trailer of a 4x game. Even though ES2 is unique in a way where it combines the 4x sandbox with an over-arcing story and other smaller scale storytelling.
What baffles me though is that they chose not to use a piece of the game soundtrack for the trailer, not a bad piece at all but I had expected them to showcase their beautiful soundtrack more.
FlyByNo has made a great soundtrack for both Endless Space games. Example:
