So I've concidered in taking Pistachio Nuts to my workout diet.
So Pistachio nuts have:
/100g
* 20g of protein
* 16g of carbs
* 54g of fat and these are those "good" that actually help you lower your cholesterol levels and LDL-choresterol
So, they sound really good choice to have on your diet and their health benefits have been proven multiple times, but one thing is lacking in all of the reseacrh results and it's the quantity that is good to eat per day.
You can buy these from pretty much any grocery store in 200g packages. I don't think that the fact that they have some salt added to the most of the time crosses out the health benefits, but even an idiot knows that you're not supposed to eat the whole 200g in one sitting, but only a handfull every day. Depending on your workout of course.
The thing I'm wondering here is that has anyone of you had some visible results from eating pistachio nuts or any other nuts instead of, let's say, candy?
mmm nusts
I guess they aren't bad if they aren't salted or fried.
they also have additional protein if you eat the bugs that get into the shells
Nuts generally are good sources of protein for vegetarians, who don't get any of the protein we get from meat, and they eat quite a bit, so I must assume in moderation they are beneficial.
plain ones are fairly good for you, salted ones aren't quite as good for you but are way more tasty
I <3 nust!
Are those nutritional facts based off of one nut? If it is then wohoaoohoa
what's the serving size
just rock a small handful with a piece of fruit for a mid morning snack. that's the way to go.

aw damn you fixed the typo in the thread title. Hey, off topic, but how do you do that? I've always wondered.
Depends on if you get the ones covered in salt or not.

Just press twice next to the title.
Pretty damn healthy
Depends on if you get the ones covered in salt or not.
There's only like 1 - 2% of salt in 100g and that's like 1 - 2g of salt in the whole package, so I wouldn't strees about it too much, because the pros conquer the cons pretty well it seems.

Maybe you were just eating sweaty balls.
It doesn't hurt, why bother asking?
I personally eat a handful of cashews as a snack before lunch. Fucking DELICIOUS OH GOD GET IN MY MOUTH

It sucks when they have no openings though.
It sucks when they have no openings though.
Hahaha, yeah.
Hopefully you don't get too many of those ones though.
pistachios have less fat / calories than any other nut. The fat they contain is filling.
The fat they contain is still fat and thus you don't want to go nuts eating them :smugdog:
But seriously, there is a lot of fat and even if it is "good fat", you don't want to be injesting huge amounts of it because even "good fat" makes you put on fat and is generally bad for you in larger amounts.
If I were you, I'd stick to mixed nuts, because that way you are less likely to end up overdosing on some nutrient.
Better than peanuts for sure.
Their about as healthy as fast threads.
