Sugar Puffs are being given a makeover in an attempt to address parents' concerns about the amount of sugar in the cereal - and revive plunging sales. In other news, coco puffs are to be renamed 'Immigrant Darkie Loopholes' after protests from far-right hate groups.
What's wrong with sugar puffs as in the name itself?
What's wrong with sugar puffs as in the name itself?
Because parents are stupid and can't read the nutrition info, so instead they assume since sugar is in the name it's basically just a box of compacted sugar balls.
Wow he looks sad in that picture - no one wants to buy his puffs :( [editline]16th October 2014[/editline]
"Honey Monster Puffs"? Really? Did nobody think to just call it Honey Puffs?
"Honey Monster Puffs"? Really? Did nobody think to just call it Honey Puffs?
Kalaspuffar :3
fuck the honey monster
"Honey Monster Puffs"? Really? Did nobody think to just call it Honey Puffs?
Advertising to children. Having a big, friendly monster on the box is more appealing to them.
Those cereals are pretty much all sugar, might as well drink a can of soda for breakfast. Really sad to see this shit marketed towards kids when childhood obesity is such a large problem.
In a slow news day this week, The Daily Mail decided it was in its best interests to report on children's cereals.
Those cereals are pretty much all sugar, might as well drink a can of soda for breakfast. Really sad to see this shit marketed towards kids when childhood obesity is such a large problem.
How is morning soda any worse than morning coffee?
How is morning soda any worse than morning coffee?
Depending on how you take your coffee, morning soda would have considerably more sugar/calories.
How is morning soda any worse than morning coffee?
Both are bad for 7 year olds
Or maybe it's because they taste like granulated mummified baby dicks laced with splenda and dollar store honey. You want cereal? Get some Cinnamon Toast Crunch, because it's got the taste that you can see.
They don't sell those here, are they like Golden Grahams?
... Kind of, but Cinnamon Toast Crunch is basically the perfect cereal though. Golden Grahams are kinda bland but I use them to make bars (like rice krispy treats, etc) and stuff.
How is morning soda any worse than morning coffee?
Coffee contains no sugar and only 1-2 calories, while soda contains lots of sugar and high fructose corn syrup.
"Honey Monster Puffs"? Really? Did nobody think to just call it Honey Puffs?
Honey is sweet, sweet is sugary, Honey Puffs is sugary, BAD FOR CHILDREN, DO NOT BUY! :v:
Monsters on the box cover don't make me like the cereal. Not when I was 5, not now, not ever. It just makes me fear the cereal.
Those cereals are pretty much all sugar, might as well drink a can of soda for breakfast.
Same as drinking a glass of orange juice or Red Bull for breakfast http://www.sugarstacks.com/beverages.htm
Yeah except orange juice isn't made with high fructose corn syrup and Red Bull is basically just soda loaded with more stimulants. Pop, energy drinks and shitty breakfast cereals are probably the leading cause of obesity in children and teenagers.
Like the lady who sued Nutella and won because she thought it was healthy for her kid. People are fucking stupid.
Nutella used to advertise itself as part of a healthy breakfast.
Kalaspuffar :3
Kalaspuffar was my fucking childhood. Do they still sell these in Sweden? I barely check the cereal section anymore but I would if i knew these were there.
Because parents are stupid and can't read the nutrition info, so instead they assume since sugar is in the name it's basically just a box of compacted sugar balls.
which is basically what kids cereal is anyways
