This game sounds like a great idea, I really hope he gets the funding he needs.
Hang on, if the aspect of the game is for viewers to interact with a streamer, why would anyone buy this game outside of the select few with audiences large enough for it to be viable?
The game needs to include a way of doing the interaction stuff within the game, irrespective of having a streamer or not. Otherwise, once streamers eventually lose interest in the game, the entire experience falls apart.

I would imagine you could easily just play it with a few friends as the audience, don't see any reason why it would only work for a big audience.

Sure, but I'm not talking about playability, I'm talking about popularity. Streaming isn't viable for everyone, and participating in big streams only work as long as the streamers in question haven't moved onto another game, which is especially the case for horror games that revolve around gimmicks.
Everyone remembers Slender: 8 pages, but how many people actually play it now? Same for Dead Realm, that one game Seananners helped develop; everyone loved watching those videos, but I bet only a fraction of those people actually play it now.
Again, not saying the game idea is bad, just saying that it needs something to keep it fresh.
It looks like his plan is to add more and more content over time to help keep things fresh.

I'm sure we'll find out more information on the 27th when he posts the kickstarter and has the full details for the game though.
I'll definitely kick some money his way when the kickstarter goes live. I share the same concerns as FlandersNed, but I really hope this goes well for him. He's really putting a lot on the line.

Don't they all say that?
I know the concept is literally aimed at twitch let's players but the memey interface/interaction just looks bad.

I hope now that it's public he'll get a lot of feedback on the style and quality of interactions, because it's a very promising concept
I asked him on Twitter and he said he's using Unity for this to anyone interested.

he just uploaded the kickstarter video
Truth be told, I'm kinda disappointed it seems to be shaping up to be another jumpy Slender spooksploration game. "Escape the room while a sometimes-statue-man patiently waits for you to turn your back to him" seems like the wrong kind of premise to add a game show theme to.

Yeah, game like Binding of Isaac where chat would vote on modifiers and possible next room enemies would be much nicer.
Guess I'll crosspost from the trailer thread:
As long as every "episode" isn't just different modeled slendy chasing you around a different map and they actually build on the experience even more, I could definitely get behind this. I want it to take off in popularity at the very least, because I really want to see more projects like this pop up, with a game being massively influenced or even played by the audience to challenge the streamer.
Although I do agree with the above post that rogue-like elements would make this far better. Imagine something like dreadhalls where it procedurally generates a dungeon maze, and the audience has to vote on things like what the rooms consist of, where the exit is/where the streamer spawns, what will be chasing the streamer and where it spawns. There's so many possibilities. But in all fairness, it's easy to come up with ideas, implementing them especially without a budget is another beast altogether; this isn't a bad starting point for them by any means imo.
I hope the final game is more along the lines of the L4D2 Criken Coliseum (where chat decided what spawns) and not just "Slender but chat now fucks with you"
I think the game looks fun, but I wish there was actual combat. What made the L4D2 coliseum so much fun was seeing a team work together and kill whatever the audience throws at them.
Still though, this must be a very important time in Criken's life and I hope the Kickstarter does great. We need more people like him who actually seem passionate about their projects and their fan base.
he's testing the game right now, join in
