Unwilling to let go of his invention, Stark, along with Pepper Potts (Gwyneth Paltrow), and James "Rhodey" Rhodes (Don Cheadle) at his side, must forge new alliances -- and confront powerful enemies. A little clip to whet your appetite :q: (some may have seen it already, some may not) ------------------------------- Ok so I was commuting to work this morning, and out of the fucking blue I saw the city filled with Iron Man 2 posters, saying "In Theaters April 29th" and I was like WHAT?! I thought the movie was out on May 7th?? o.0 It just happens that the release date (at least over here, in Argentina) is within 2 days, according to IMDB...

Argentina 29 April 2010 <--------- w00t! (but we have to wait 'till June for "Kick-ass") :/
USA 7 May 2010
Just a week earlier... anyhow, I'm planning to watch it at an IMAX theatre, on May 15th (my b-day :3:) What are your expectations, judging from what you've seen/read online so far? Do you think it'll be as good, or better than the first IM? IMHO, I love the trailers/clips, I'm really, really hyped (which could be bad), but I'm not as hyped as when "Batman: TDK" came out. Anyhow, I'm sure it's going to be a BLAST, from beginning to end. I saved the best poster for the end...
Iron man looks so much more awesome with a silver face than gold.
I agree, the new suit looks a lot more badass [release]Iron Man 2 to be Released in Digital IMAX Source:IMAX Corporation January 14, 2010 IMAX Corporation, Marvel Entertainment and Paramount Pictures today announced that the highly-anticipated action-adventure Iron Man 2, directed by Jon Favreau and starring Robert Downey, Jr., will be released to digital IMAX theaters simultaneously with the film's worldwide release on May 7, 2010. I wonder if it'll be in 3-D?
Nope, no 3D, just Imax Digital (only in a FEW, just a FEW theatres)...
I prefer a good story and movie, thank you.
Just because it's in 3-D doesn't make it a bad movie, dolt.
I find it weird that they haven't used IMAX cameras, like Nolan did in TDK...
What the hell is Iron man 2? I'm really excited about this other film called Iron2Man!
I find it weird that they haven't used IMAX cameras, like Nolan did in TDK...
Imax cameras are a pain in the arse to work with IIRC
Imax cameras are a pain in the arse to work with IIRC
They can't be any harder to work with than the 3d cameras they used in Avatar... right? :S
I like how the black guy gets the suit with the most guns
Argentina get this first???? You deserve not to get kickass til june :D
Argentina get this first???? You deserve not to get kickass til june :D
Dunno who the hell decides when the movies are supposed to come out... Avatar came out a week after the US release, over here... :/
obligatory "is overrated" post Seriously, though, I'm pumped for this film. The first one was absolutely fantastic.
This is going to be badass. Need to try and get some mates to go see it.
We get it on the 28th here in France And KickAss is already Out Yeaaah
I am really excited for this movie, more so than any other film I can remember to be honest.
WAR MACHlNE YES
This is gonna be epic! Especially with AC/DC songs in it :v: can't wait!
This is gonna be epic! Especially with AC/DC songs in it :v: can't wait!
That's the only thing I have against this movie... I'm cool with AC/DC, but TOO much AC/DC is a little... annoying :/ I preferred the "Iron Man" OST from the first movie
Why is his "power core" in a triangular shape?
Seems nice, There are trailers with more footage though. This one just has a bit more and less then that long intro in the OP.
Why is his "power core" in a triangular shape?
For what I've read, it has something to do with a different suit, called "Extremis"...
After being critically injured during a battle with a nanotech-enhanced foe, Stark injected his nervous system with a modified techno-organic virus to save his own life. This fused Stark's armor to his body, allowing him to store the inner layers of the Iron Man armor in the hollows of his bones as well as control it through direct brain impulses. The Extremis enhancement has turned Stark into a cyborg, whereby the usage of his existing lockchip (a personal area networking implement implanted in his forearm) is directly integrated into his nervous system.
[editline]05:03PM[/editline] Source [editline]05:06PM[/editline] The inverted pyramid in his chest is a characteristic of that suit... but I'm not sure if they're going to introduce this suit in the movie
This is one of the few movies I will pay to see it in 3D and the IMAX screen. A movie like this you have to spend the extra money and see it on a screen the size of an office building.
This film won't break any new boundaries, but it will be more fucking balls to the wall awesome than any soulless Michael bay or preachy Cameron flicks of the last few years (You know who you are).
