• Opputunity to go internationally for something degree-related

Alright, I've been offered by someone the oppurtunity to go to somewhere in the world on an an all-expenses paid trip. How long depends. There's only one catch - it needs to be related to my degree (Computer Science). I'm kind of at a loss thinking about what short term things I can do (long-term things like exchange aren't possible) that are directly-related other than touristy type stuff. I was thinking of short courses or etc but I really have no idea, any ideas?
Visit a datacenter in whatever country in the world you feel like visiting?
South Korea!
S Korea, Japan, Taiwan, and maybe even Hong Kong would be good destinations. What you could do there I have no idea Also if you don't live in the US (no flagdog), Silicon Valley.
ive had the same thing with my school, they're willing to cover all my expenses to study in their china school for a semester its in the Shenzhen area, the only downside is i probably won't be able to do really any of my important classes there and it would put me back a semester also i probably wouldn't be able to stomach any of the food
Europe is pretty fucking nice. I've been all over the world and shit and the only place i like to go back to is home (Scotland) and europe.
Which country are you in?
Somewhere in Asia is a must, it's a great opportunity
I'm in Australia (no idea why the flagdog didn't show up, usually does). The only way it'll be funded is if I can show that there's more of a reason then visiting for the sake of visiting, which is why I was hoping someone might know of some great program or something I've never heard of I could do. Sorry I've been so vague though and thanks for the suggestions everyone!

Lots of chicken, beef, fish and pork with rice, noodles or soup and usually not too spicy or spicy at all. I'd say 95% of the food would be western enough for you. The only things I can think of that might weird you out is jellyfish, which you should be able to look at and know isn't western at all. Also if you get anything on a stick that's called Lou mei just say no, you'll thank me later. When westerners say they like Chinese food, Cantonese food is what they are talking about.
Computer science is kind of broad. It depends on what you're interested in. If you're interested in computer graphics, though, I'd highly recommend you attend SIGGRAPH 2014, this year the conference will be in Vancouver, and it's generally an awesome place to look for work opportunities and generally to look at the next generation of computer graphics. I was actually meant to go as a student volunteer, I had to cancel though due to a crisis in my country that caused airline fares to skyrocket. But I've been there before when it was in Los Angeles, and I can highly recommend the experience.
Go to Japan, learn computerized boobs physics
