I fucking hate it when others get credit for something you've done

Oh, the fucking joys of being at the bottom of a ladder in a company.
I'm after genuine advice here. I'm a casual staff member at a shop in Australia. There's one other casual staff member who's also my age so we've always been in pretty tight competition despite getting along really well.
My boss is CONSTANTLY giving my coworker credit privately for thing's they've stolen from me or things I have literally done. And my coworker stands there and says nothing but thanks. I feel too fucking awkward to come into their conversation and be like.. hey! actually! i did that.. it makes me seem like an idiot.
I came up with this great pitch for customers, my coworker uses it WORD FOR WORD on the next customer that walks in, after i've been using it for days, and my boss is like "did you hear that!? (name) is the bomb at pitching that! did you hear what (name) said to that customer! i hadn't even thought to say that! that was awesome!!"
I fucking hate it. It's happening a lot lately. What do?
ITT stories of when other people have taken credit for something you've done
Sometimes you just have to deal with it, nothing you can really do. Plus, a humble person is much more respectable than someone constantly whining for credit.
that's the thing, i want to be humble, i am humble, thats why i dont say anything.. but when a coworker is repeatedly getting your credit for things - no matter how small - every day.. it's wearing me down. i haven't said anything about it yet.. but I need to before I develop a tumor.
Stop being a doormat.
There's a thread for posting things that really piss you off.

If they're flat-out lying about doing something when you did it all, then I think it would be reasonable to interrupt them and call them out for lying. If you're too humble about it, they may think that the other person is doing most of the work and you are the less-useful one.

stop being a jealous little bitch and find new ways to impress
Well if he aimed the conversation at you, it wouldn't make you look like much of an asshole.

You could casually say "yeah, I gave him that pitch".
Even if it makes you sound like a little bit of an asshole as long as you aren't sucking up, I see no problem with that.
Grow some balls and speak up sometimes, unless you think that it's job threatening or something.

that's something pretty to say on cards but the truth is, while others are seen as something more because of the work they've stolen the ones who did the work had the trouble and no "reward", they won't get respect for "being humble" they'll just be seen as the person that didn't do anything
Get over it. It doesn't really matter. If it mattered that much you'd do something instead of posting on a forum about it.

your post didn't really matter, you still posted it, this is a forum, people post their opinions and experiences
Well... stop telling him things like new pitches.
fight him
Step 1: Make up a deliberately insulting and shitty pitch.
Step 2: Get some friends to come in and use it on them while he is watching but get them to act like its good.
Step 3: Watch as he tries it on a real customer and gets his ass handed to him.
Why are you bothered about a (Part time ? ) casual job hell it pays for beer and a social life. Come back when your 30 and some cunt beat you to a promotion because shes got a nice ass.

To be honest it's how the real world works. No boss wants to hear an employee constantly complain because Bill took credit for something you've done. Any decent boss will eventually catch on to things and start appreciating any hardwork every employee puts fourth. I dealt with that shit all the time when I first started working but I bet you can't guess who was promoted the quickest? Me. Simply because I worked hard and the right people saw it, even with the occasional person taking credit for my work. The only time I can see something like this being an issue is intellectual and copyrighted property. If someone took credit for a photo of mine there would be a shitstorm so large it would be half the size of Europe.
I'd take it, there's nothing really to do about it other than be an asshole and be like, "Hey, I made that up!"
You could always praise him whenever he steals something, make him feel really awkward.
Not like he could ever say anything. :V
Don't get annoyed about it, but if you're having a conversation with the guy, say things like, "I see that pitch that I suggested you use is working out pretty nicely for you."

Don't sound sarcastic though, be genuine.

Just say something it's better than letting someone shit all over you and trust me it'll happen again and again until you say something.

Probably the best advice in the thread, you can really easily manipulate a serial copycat.
I have sympathy for OP, but also for the guy copying him. Sometimes at a new job it's rather difficult to learn to do things and get around, and if you have a free ticket for good pitches and good work, it can be tempting to use it
But still, it seems like what he is doing is unacceptable
Stop making the slogans, watch your co-workers burn.
Then rise to power
Humble might get you respect but theft will get you a promotion.
