A 22-year-old man charged with a terrorist attack in south-west Sydney was inspired by the Islamic State group, NSW Police allege. Ihsas Khan is accused of stabbing 59-year-old Wayne Greenhalg a number of times at a reserve on Olhlfsen Road at Minto on Saturday afternoon. The victim suffered injuries to his body and hands, and remains in hospital in a serious condition. Khan has been charged with committing a terrorist act and attempted murder. He has appeared in Parramatta Bail Court, where he was denied bail. He is due to reappear in court next week.
http://www.abc.net.au/news/2016-09-11/alleged-sydney-terror-attacker-inspired-by-is-minto-stabbing/7833870
Police said he was ISIS motivated
It's literally his first name
Ihsas Khan
Is it that Isis has reached the notoriety that they are inspiring these attacks, which seem to have 1-way relationships between assailants and the terror group, or that police and state officials are tying anything close to Islamic extremism to Isis, so we can pretend this problem is isolated to their organization?
Wow wtf even. In the article the police even mention that he is not known to police for any links to terror groups. Idk just seems like they're trying to tack on more charges for no reason other than to make it more likely to get him convicted on all shit.
While i think he should absolutely be jailed for a good long time because that's some monstrous shit, terrorism? For that? Bit excessive, almost Red Scare-tier imo. Also i see a lot of "alleged" here, doesn't seem like they have any concrete ties, seems more like the kid just has problems.
