"It is necessary for me to have a new intervention in the coming days," he said in a TV address, adding that more malignant cells had been found. The 58-year-old has had three cancer operations in Cuba since mid-2011, but few details have been released. During his latest visit to Cuba, he was said to be receiving "hyperbaric oxygenation" therapy, which can ease ailments caused by radiation treatment. Mr Chavez has spent many months receiving surgery and treatment in Cuba since his diagnosis in July 2011. In May, he declared himself free of cancer. However, he has never given much detail about the type of cancer he suffered from, and chose to be treated in Cuba rather than Venezuela, which has led the opposition to call for greater transparency. Mr Chavez's recent visit to Cuba follows his re-election in October for a third term in office.
People on Twitter are apparently mistaking this for his death, and as a result, RIP Chavez is now on the trending topics as of 9:12 PM CST.

This is also the first time he has actually referred to the fact that he may be unable to complete his term, to which Nicolas Maduro, current vice president, would complete it. If that were to happen (and honest to god, with all my hatred of Chavez, I don't want him to go away like that), Maduro REALLY wouldn't be able to stay on power for too long. The Chavistas want Chavez, and without Chavez there's no Chavismo. He's dead, bam, that's the end of this dark chapter of our history. 5th medical absence from power this year, too. (I'd be fucking ironic if he actually dies before Castro though)
he should smoke weed and stop those trips that cost his people money
he should smoke weed and stop those trips that cost his people money
Cancer helps treat nausea and other side effects from chemotherapy. It does not actually cure cancer.
Cancer helps treat nausea and other side effects from chemotherapy. It does not actually cure cancer.
This just in, cancer does not cure cancer.
Cancer helps treat nausea and other side effects from chemotherapy. It does not actually cure cancer.
Well yeah, cancer doesn't cure cancer. Goddamnit.

Chemotherapy is one of the most horrifically applied 'cures'. Hey, your cancer is gone, too bad you are walking poison.
Chemo is terrible but unfortunately it's the only way to kill off the mutation.
that's the end of this dark chapter of our history.
Weren't you that guy that was bawling like a baby when he crushed Capriles and won his elections again? So are you still moving to Miami lol?
420 chemotherapy faggot
Oh god it's contagious!
Weren't you that guy that was bawling like a baby when he crushed Capriles and won his elections again? So are you still moving to Miami lol?
Bawling like a baby? You stupid motherfucker. I've lived here for all my life, I've personally experienced the downfall of this fucking country into a mess of rampant corruption and crime. The shit that goes on here is hard to believe. Chavez has changed the rules to perpetuate himself in power, he has taken every big Venezuelan company for the state, and therefore himself. Chavez is the single richest person in Venezuela today. So don't you dare fucking say that I'm fucking whining, that I should "grow up", or that I should just take the shit that this fucking government has thrown against me, my family, my education, my employment opportunities, my economic stability, my university and all my upper education, my god damn job. It's too damn fucking easy to make fun of someone's situation while being all so comfortably off in your god damn first world country where you can actually go out later than 7 PM and not be afraid that you're gonna get murdered. Back on topic, I should also note that Chavez JUST came back from the Havana. He spent less than a day in Venezuela and went straight back. He's having all his treatment in Cuba so information doesn't leak out.

[editline]9th December 2012[/editline] Also, what makes this time around different, is that for the first time he gives away the possibility that he might not finish his term. Some shit will be going down on Vzla when he's gone
Two good friends live in Venezuela, and I don't know much about that Hugo but they don't like him. Maybe he's better of dead.
Two good friends live in Venezuela, and I don't know much about that Hugo but they don't like him. Maybe he's better of dead.
Many people didn't want him re-elected.
Many people didn't want him re-elected.
Probably has something to do with the fact that he's a corrupt dictator
i can't believe that there were people that were celebrating his reelection. They freaking rallied outside the Venezuela embassy.
i can't believe that there were people that were celebrating his reelection. They freaking rallied outside the Venezuela embassy.
If it was in the US, which I highly doubt considering there's no longer a Venezuelan US embassy, merely a consulate, then I'm damn sure it's mostly ex pats that were either watching the results, people protesting, or almost impossibly, an actual group of Chavista diplomats. I highly doubt that anyone outside Venezuela celebrated the country becoming into more of a hermit, retrograde state.
